I wish Eric would have told Rick Bayless Mexican food isn't fine dining. Rick woulda taken off his purple shirt and kicked his ass!

MASSIVE product overload tonight!!!! In addition to the usual we had ranch dressing, KC Masterpiece, and 20 lbs of Velveeta! All CRAP!

The judges were way harsh on the lack of soccorat on Richards paella. They even said it tasted good, then continued to nail him to make sure he knows what a paella is. OK so maybe it's closer to a pilaf but still!

And these chefs are finally tasting their food but why do they continue to try to transport fried things? The right person went home-that's for sure!

Oh and the "middle America" remarks pissed me off too. "we're in the midwest so they're getting hotdogs, hamburgers and a pasta salad!"

I'm also disappointed. Tony Bourdain posted on eGullet that he is refusing to blog Top Chef this year because it's a sponsored blog and he doesn't shill.

They really were dense this time. How could they not catch the riff of the quickfire?- take street food and 'elevate' it. And where do they end up? Handing out food..in the middle of a freakin' street-it could not be more obvious. And you never 'dumb down' your food. It can insult the guests, and the judges will surely not be happy. Even the kids(and certainly the adults) would expect that if these are chefs, they are going to present something that is above what they would normally get at their street fair, but still be tasty and acceptable. A huge failure. I bet the regular folks could have made alot of these dishes..and made them better too.

If I was one of the people whose food was taken, I would have been dissapointed. That is the best they could come up with?..and they are chefs?

Erik needed to go..and Nikki needs to follow him. They learned NOTHING about catering food. DO NOT FRY ahead of time!! duh! They all deserved the judges smackdown.

*I can forgive Spike/Evangelos and Andrews since they had the playful roughhousing at the beginnning and Spike looked good sans shirt. Almost getting a ho-yay vibe there. almost anyway,

Honestly I thought Zoi should have went even though Eric was acting like a dickface. She didn't act like she cared enough to try and make an unusual pasta salad. And while I shouldn't complain since my Mark is still around, I was disappointed that I didn't get to hear how his taco was or his dessert in the elimination challenge. There are still too many people there. I think they off'd a man last night because they thought it would look bad to knock off another woman.

Andrew needs to lay off the coke and Spike is cute but what an asshole.

Oh and I like my street tacos!

I think Nikki's on her way out next. She's made crap the past 2 weeks.

For the quickfire, I wish Jen or Zoi had made a pink taco. Just sayin'

I bet most of the people at the block party could have produced better food than the chefs did. They didn't take the weather, the event or the nature of the challenge (which they should have figured out from the quickfire) into consideration. Mac and cheese in 90 degree weather? A corndog that had to be pre-fried. Waldorf salad. Eww. And Zoi, you can make pasta salad really delicious and interesting.

After last week and now this week, it seems that none of these chefs have even thrown a party before -- not knowing what you can make in advance, what types of things need to be done right at the last minute.

Spike and Andrew are so full of themselves. They kept acting like their team was invicibile, and somehow I knew that would come back to bite 'em in the ass.

I loved this challenge!

Manuel totally should have fought for Like Water for Chocolate. I kept hoping he wouldn't go but he didn't have a chance.

And a big thanks to whoever talked Andrew out of presenting his dish dressed as an Oompa Loompa. Although that might have eliminated the meth freak.

Zoi's whining gets on my nerves.

I wish Andrew the crackhead would have done it. Dude's twitching is making me mental! Spike dodged a big old bullet last night. His ass should have been gone. I'm a little disappointed that the last two quick fires my Mark was totally ignored and they didn't even get praise or anything from the judges face to face last night. I'm glad he's still there but I'm just not sure why he is being ignored.

I agree with all of the above. Plus..RYAN IS DUMBER THAN OWLSHIT!!!

And why not a 'Silence of the Lambs' theme? Lamb(not kidney..yuck!) served with Fava beans and a nice Chianti?..maybe a sauce made with Blood Oranges?

Am I the only one who thinks Richard and Jennifer look alike?

I really have to watch last nights episode again because I could have sworn Antonia was opposed to the soup.

Richard acting surprised at the judges table when he knew there were scales and the fish was mushy cracked me up. He's not a good actor.

I also thought it was funny that Lisa won for bacon. Bacon rules!!

The duck. How do you cook and not know to score the skin of your duck? It's in my, How to Prep Food, book that I keep in my kitchen. I'm a home cook not a chef and if I know that, any moron who works with proteins should know that.

And the fights at the end? I thought it seemed odd they happened at the same time. Or maybe it was Bravo's editing. Anyway it was choppy and weird.

And why was Dale holding his crotch while he was yelling at Lisa?
