Is anyone else watching I'm Dying Up Here on Showtime? Loosely based on the story of the Comedy Store in LA. It's dark but I like it so far.

The Viking loves Okja and I thought it was awful. There is some adorableness, but I ended up just laying in his lap and going to sleep early.

Anyone watching Ozarks on Netflix? Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, its dark and lots of twist and turns. There are 10 episodes so far. I just finished watching them all. I'm hooked.

^I watch Ozark. I have only seen 7 episodes so far but it looks good although there are many twists and all, so I still don't "get" it.

    has anyone watched GLOW?
i'm 4 episodes in and it's sooooo good. great acting, absolutely hilarious but also doesn't come off as a parody of the 80s and wrestling which it very easily could have.

Yes, I watched it all. I liked it, Marc Maron in particular impressed me. Tbh I was kind of looking forward to the parody version--I really loved the kitschy 80's trailers with the huge hair and OTT costumes.

ha! fair enough. i guess i didn't watch enough wrestling shows as a kid in the 80s.
marc maron is fantastic (plus i so would) and i'm also really loving chris lowell as bash, i've always thought he was underrated and given shitty parts. of the women, i kind of love them all so far, even ruth though she was a real debbie downer the first few episodes.

Just finished Ozark and it was pretty good. Worth it for getting to watch Bateman hour after hour. It has some weak plot moments imo but overall it has some great characters and some real tension. Last episode ... holy fuck. Won't spoil it but there is a scene that sent my anxiety through the roof. I was literally whispering "wtf wtf wtf" during it. Intense.
