Netflix has finally launched legally in Australia and I'm loving it.

Particularly as I was crook today - much easier to just set up camp in bed with the laptop and binge on Arrow and nature docos (watching the kitten's reaction to Blue Planet and lots of fish = hilarious)

My 11 yr old and I have been non-stop watching WolfBlood. There are three seasons and we are halfway through the second right now.
At first he rolled his eyes "Really mom? Another werewolf ?" lol
Next thing you know, its the first he watches and the last he watches and I'm trying to catch up as I cook and clean around the house looking over my shoulders.

finished 'bloodline' and started watching 'the honourable woman' and it is fantastic so far. unlike other shows where it takes you at least an episode or two to really get into it and care about the characters, this one sucks you in from the very first scene. maggie is simply brilliant. the entire cast is (love stephen rea!) but maggie is amazing.

I've watched 4.5 episodes so far and i'm really enjoying it. i liked it right away although it's true the first episode takes a while for the story to get going but once it does, it's pretty addictive. i'd call it upscale trash lol, in the sense that it's well written and smart but still appeals to your basic trashy television needs and it's all about a rich family with lots of secrets.
also, it stars coach (aka kyle chandler) and my original senior citizen boyfriend, sam shepard, who's still mighty fuckable at 71. and sissy spacek and linda cardellini, so pretty great casting all around. and the guy who plays the prodigal son is great too.
I haven't watched it yet but I heard it was really slow. I have several friends and my mil in it, plus "The Dive" is my home away from home bar. It's really called the Caribbean Club.

I am diving into The Vampire Diaries right now. Or should I have said, sinking my teeth into it.

i'm on the penultimate episode of "the honourable woman" and the only reason i didn't finish last night is that it was already almost 1 am and i couldn't stay up another 2 hours. holy shit it's good!
if you're into incredibly intelligent, well acted, brilliantly written spy thrillers, this is a show for you.

it is really slow but not boring, if that makes sense. even when certain episodes drag on too long by that point you're invested in the story so it's not like you ever want to stop watching. and then it really picks up and the last 4 episodes are amazing and you realise that there was meaning behind the seemingly pointless (at the time) and meandering parts in the first part.

Yes it's a resort with cottages in Islamorada. Very expensive. All of the places are real. I heard that Sissy Spacek was a real diva and refused to stay in Islamorada and had to stay at the Ocean Reef Club which is a private club in North Key Largo that is VERY exclusive. The president lands there when he comes.

I think I'm still watching the same three shows as the last time I posted here. Orange is the New Black, House of Cards and Damages. I really love Damages. It's taking me forever to get through them.

Of course. That's the bar in the first episode. It's right before you get into the keys. Pretty cool place, awesome conch fritters.
