I was pumped to see Wolverine before it came out, but as time goes on I'm thinking I'll wait for cable or DVD. Too many mixed reviews. But Star Trek I've heard nothing but good things about.

I guess I'm going to have to go see it by myself. Hubby isn't a movie goer and the kids said no!

    King I definitely recommend it!
Non Trek fans will love it as well fans of the franchise. I am thinking of seeing it again - it will be my 3rd time.
I also heard they are starting on the sequel but I am not sure if Abrams is going to helm it.

We really liked it and we're die-hard trek fans (more of STNG, but the original series, too) There was some cheesy plot lines and a few plot holes, but those can be easily overlooked in the face of awesome.

I still love the Original series but the movie was in the most part respectful enough to the characters and all around great so no major complaints. On second viewing I knew to avert my eyes at the nasty surprises so all was good.

I am looking forward to seeing more of the trio of Spock, Kirk and McCoy's friendship explored in the sequels. That was the backbone of the show and not any random and character assassinating crew hookups.
