Wow, this batch of housewives is really unattractive. And what's with the damaged, skanky hair? Can't they afford to have top notch hair treatment?

I like Jill and Bethenny the best. I think Jill has gorgeous eyes, and she reminds me of one of my Jersey aunts.
Bethenny seems the most down-to-earth.

Alex has an egregious case of manface. It's so ugly it fascinates me! It's funny how much her husband praises her "model's figure" but doesn't comment on her face. I don't think the manface is a turn-off for him, because he gives off some pretty strong gay vibes. When they talked about how 'it didn't take long for her to get pregnant' the imagery gave me the same kind of sick feeling I get when I see a picture of Coco and Ice-T. I really dislike Alex....her affect and voice is so flat, and the pretention doesn't endear her.

LuAnn is okay. Pretty, doesn't seem pompous. I don't like the way her children treat the housekeeper though. "Rosanna can clean up the puppy's pee..." That made me bristle actually.

I noticed the hair thing last night, too!! They all have really shitty hair with the exception of Bethenny and Jill. Even the Countess, with her short, looks like I just got out of bed look. Doesn't look any different from a gal in the Midwest.

I am tired about all the talk about "Connectors." "Oh, I found a connector," "What a great connection," I like to be a connector." Never once is it, "She seems like fun and she would be a good friend.

The Countess LuAnn, (which I find funny because LuAnn is such a middle-class, middle America name) also irratates me. I don't like how she puts her social life ahead of her children and leaves them with poor Rosanna. If your child is begging you to stay home, then maybe you are going out too much. AND, if you think when the Count's away on all his business trips he's not getting some on the side...think again.

Ramona, you are not hot, you have freaky eyes that would scare small children.

Bethenny is going to run her man off. Quit trying to trap him in a corner. One of the biggest no-no's in dating is trying to pressure a man to commit. He will on his own, otherwise, he's just not that into you.

Alex definately tries to hard. Doesn't see anyone as a friendship, just someone that can get them into better circles. That is so high school. And, does anyone find it funny with how pompous and pretentious they are that they live in Brooklyn and not *gasp* Manhattan?

I guess I like Jill the best.

I do miss those OC bitches. At least they seem more like friends and not social climbers.

The whole connector thing bugs me too. Like, "I need to use/squeeze as much as I can out of this person to advance myself." Uh, nice. I can't believe they openly admit that.

And why does Luanne hang out with 23 year olds?? Huh? I'm 35 so I guess I'll hit up the middle school for some new friends.

I'm amazed the nanny spouted off about how Luann should spend more time with her kids. Not that I disagree at all, but when Luann and the ever absent "count" hear that, I think they'll be none too pleased. I get the impression Luann is absent/ not involved as much as a mom should be. I mean, why is she so frazzled? The nanny does all the heavy lifting! And its not like she has a job! Is shopping/going out so taxing??

Actually if I had a nanny telling me what to do (like a second mom) that would suck.

Anyway, I actually like this show I think more than the OC housewives. I love the glorious shots of NYC - does anyone else like that about the show? I love seeing NYC; never been there. And I love the background music...it's addictive, in some strange way...
I adore Jill. Agree she has gorgeous eyes and I love the accent. She tries too hard to make her daughter and husband have a "close" relationship - they seem fine to me.
Alex and Simon, I like them, also...I don't get a gay vibe from him at all; I think they're really that close and they like sharing their time together.
Although dayum she needs to see a hairstylist!!!
They're social climbers but honest about it, so who cares.
LuAnn is okay but needs to stay home with her family. Really.

The only one I dislike is Ramona, she's PATHETIC!!!!! UGH

Bethany is okay but DESPERATE....give it up, girl. Seems she's heading into some sort of breakdown re: the previews...

I'm watching reruns, and I've noticed:

~ All of the daughters of the housewives bear almost no resemblance to their mothers...in Avery's case it's a good thing....in LuAnn's daughter's case it's unfortunate.

~That scene of Alex in the G-string with her ass cheeks exposed to the world was HORRIFYING. Good God.
I think they were being faux coy when they said "Maybe in America they cover up more on the beaches..." They pretend to be way more European than what they are. Holy pretention.

~I now see what everybody was talking about in regards to Ramona's crazy bulging eyes.

~I thought the school Alex and her husband toured that was a former Bank of America was...interesting. The vault/cafeteria was cool. But a lot of the school didn't look that swank to me.

She really does have a nice figure, I never notice just how huge her boobs are compared to her body. She'd be drop dead gorgeous if she didn't have that man jaw line.

I feel for her - it was obvious that her man did not want to talk on camera, you could see it in his body language and eyes.

And her friend in Miami - Dear God - your eggs are no longer fresh? It's no wonder she didn't have a break down right there in the bar.
Why would you choose such words for someone who clearly is desperate to get married and make babies.



I hope she doesn't stay with the guy, he just reminds me of that real quite arrogant type that will also treat you like a child and scold you and give you an answer to humor you but will do what he wants anyway.

I was surprised to hear that Avery's friends were enamored of Ramona's clothes because half the time she looks like a Dynasty reject with those gaudy gold earrings and hairstyle. Sometimes she wears decent clothes, and she has a nice figure, but none of her ensembles are especially chic, much less anything that children would want their mothers to emulate. Maybe I'm blinded by her feathered bags and the hair-pushed-behind-the-ears.
