Real Housewives star Danielle Staub's seedy former life of crime and drugs to be turned into TV series

Her life: Danielle Staub's past is being turned into a new TV series

The seedy past of former Real Housewives of Jersey star Danielle Staub is to be turned into a TV series.
Sony Pictures are developing a new TV series based on a book that delves into the 49-year-old's past involvement with crime and drugs.
Staub, one of the most controversial of all the women involved in the Real Housewives series, is unlikely to cooperate with the film makers.
The series is based on the book Cop Without a Badge which is the story of her ex-husband Kevin Maher who was recruited as an undercover informant for the FBI and New York Police.
Staub, whose was living under her birth name Beverly Merrill, met Maher while she was living in Miami, Florida, on bail on kidnapping and drug charges.
She later served five years probation for the charges but her marriage to Maher ended in the 1980s and she relocated to New Jersey.

Fights: Danielle famously feuded with co-star Teresa Giudice on the show

A grainy black and white mug shot taken during her arrest is included in the book.
Staub was one of the original members of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Her past was a secret until one of the other women Caroline Manzo found a copy of the book in her local library.
The confrontation between the two women made for some of the most explosive scenes on the series and mother of two Staub was cold shouldered by the other women.

Fire started: Danielle regularly got into verbal and sometimes physical altercations with Teresa

Staub left the series and briefly worked as a stripper.
A sex tape featuring her and her boyfriend was also leaked.
The TV series is set to be written by Law and Order writer David Black, according to the New York Post.
Casting has yet to begin on the series with the NBC network said to be favourite to pick up the rights to the show.
NBC owns Bravo which has enjoyed huge success in recent years thanks to the success of the Real Housewives series.

    Wow.

"is unlikely to cooperate with the film makers"

Why? What else does she have going on for her?? She should just own her past and make as much $$$ off of it as she can. I mean, it looks like they are going to be doing it anyway.

She is such a PROSTITUTION WHORE!!! (And a dumbass)

P.S. After seeing that picture above of season 1, I forgot how much I missed Dina!!! I liked her a lot. She was funny.

'Real Housewives' dad arrested for arson, insurance fraud
    Parker County Texas
    By Ree Hines

“Real Housewives of New Jersey” fans will remember John Madison “Matt” Holmes as the father of troubled 20-year-old Ashley. On the show, Matt recently made an appearance alongside ex Jacqueline Laurita to work on a bad-attitude intervention for Ashley. But as it turns out, the dad had bigger problems than his daughter’s disrespectful ways. Much bigger.

Radar Online reports that in June, Matt was arrested in Texas on charges of arson, insurance fraud and money laundering, and his current wife, Jodi Sue Holmes, was brought in on money laundering charges.

The arrests came after a fire burned down the couple’s two-story home in March. Holmes told a fire marshal’s investigator that he’d been to the property earlier, but that claim was disputed by what the Weatherford Democrat referred to as “a credible witness, who said Holmes started the fire.

Matt and Jodi received $429,000 in insurance money. As for what happened to the cash, the newspaper reports that a complaint filed by Parker County fire marshall’s investigator, Ken Dabbs, revealed that among other purchases, it went toward plastic surgery and a $40,000 diamond ring for Jodi.

Both Matt and Jodi were released on bond shortly after their arrests.

Matt’s reality star daughter, Ashley, recently had something to say about the legal drama.
“FYI -- my parents have NOT been indicted,” Ashley tweeted about her father and stepmother’s legal woes. “This whole thing was started by a disgruntled employee..they are INNOCENT & that's all I have to say.”

For now. While Ashley was kicked out of her mom’s house on last week’s episode, she’s still a regular on “Housewives,” so her private life rarely stays private for long.

Didn't someone already post that? Or is there new info I'm missing?

Jacqueline is as immature as Ashley. While Ashley is a huge snotty asshole, Jac and her husband are partially responsible for the way she is. On one hand, Jac is always reminding Ashley how much she's sacrificed for her, I think she's implying that had she had an abortion or given Ashley up for adoption, she would have had a much better life. Then on the other hand, they spoil the hell out of Ashley. Co-signing for a car when she doesn't even have a job or any inclination to work? Also the way Jac lets Ashley speak to her. You could tell by no one being surprised when Ashley called her a bitch that it was a common thing.
RHONJ Ashley Holmes’ Dad Matt Holmes Arrested For Arson, Insurance Fraud & Money Laundering, Plus Preview New Episode

Ah, the joys of appearing on reality television. A week after his appearance on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, the recent arrest of Ashley Holmes’ dad, John Madison Holmes aka Matt Holmes, is now making headlines.
While Matt appeared to be the voice of reason on the most recent episode of the show, it turns out he was actually arrested weeks ago and charged with arson, insurance fraud and money laundering.
Matt, 39, wasn’t arrested until early June of this year, though the alleged arson actually took place on March 12, 2011. Matt’s wife, Jodi Sue Holmes, 36, who also appeared on the RHONJ, was later arrested on a charge of money laundering as well.
According to court records, after a fire destroyed the couple’s Texas two-story house that was undergoing remodel work, Matt told the Police that he had been at the house dropping off supplies for contractors 30 to 45 minutes before firefighters were called to put out the fire.
However, a few months later, “a credible witness” came forward and stated Matt started the fire in three rooms of the house using kerosene and gasoline, according to investigator Ken Dabbs, who already believed the fire to be intentionally set after finding no electrical shorts or other reasonable cause.
Dabbs reveals Matt and his wife received $429,000 in insurance money. The police complaint alleges that Jodi knew about the arson and used the proceeds to make purchases, which included plastic surgery and a $40,000 diamond ring.
Cops reveal that to their knowledge, the couple has ever been involved in anything like the suspected arson and neither has ever been arrested. The charges however appear to be pretty serious as the FBI is also involved with the investigation. John was released on $225,000 bond while his wife Jodie was released on $75,000 bond.
As for Ashley, she made the following tweet late yesterday, “FYI- my parents have NOT been indicted..this whole thing was started by a disgruntled employee..they are INNOCENT &that’s all i have to say.”
Ashley's other set of parents are great role models too:

Danielle's eyebrows are the freakiest things. Her face has been pulled so taut that they're practically up to her hair line.

Cop sues 'Real Housewives' cast over bar fight LEFT: Joe Guidice and Teresa Giudice attend the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" Season 3 viewing and "Fabulicious" Cookbook launch party at Tribeca Night Club on May 16, 2011 in Fort Lee, New Jersey. RIGHT: Adolfo Arreola's injuries in a photo provided by Arreola. Arreola and his cousin, Jason Gomez, were allegedly attacked and beaten in February by the cast from the reality TV show the Real Housewives of New Jersey while the show was filming in the Dominican Republic. By Todd Lighty and Stacy St. Clair Tribune reporters

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast members beat up and injured a Chicago-area police officer and his cousin during a brawl earlier this year at a posh Dominican resort, two lawsuits filed today allege.

Adolfo Arreola, a sworn officer with the University of Illinois at Chicago's police department, suffered a broken arm, blurred vision, cuts and bruises after some members of the cast "savagely beat, kicked, punched, scratched, jumped" on him and smashed glass on his head, according to the lawsuits. His cousin Jason A. Gomez suffered a broken leg and a torn MCL after he came to Arreola's defense.

The cousins’ lawsuits – filed in New York and Miami – allege that they and their families were dancing and socializing in a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino bar in Punta Cana on Feb. 23 when Jersey Housewife Teresa Giudice sprayed champagne on Arreola’s mother-in-law and mocked the 53-year-old woman as she tried to wipe the alcohol from her eyes.

The complaints state that after Arreola confronted Giudice, he was attacked by cast members that included her husband, Joe, and Albert and Christopher Manzo, the sons of show matriarch Caroline Manzo.

All three men have supporting roles on the popular reality show, which follows the conflict-riddled lives of five women from northern New Jersey. Since the program's debut two years ago, the cast's public melees and physical altercations have fueled gossip sites and the show's ratings in near equal measure.

The Guidices and other cast members could not be immediately reached for comment.

Bravo, the cable channel that airs the show, is named in the New York complaint, as well. Thomas Demetrio, an attorney repesenting Arreola and Gomez, has asked Bravo and the show's production company to preserve any video taken of the fight. A spokeswoman for Bravo said the network and the cast members decline to comment on the accusations.

The cousins also sued the Hard Rock Hotel's parent company in Miami alleging negligent security and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Ricardo Cata, a lawyer for the hotel's operator, said he had not seen any lawsuit but said the hotel did nothing wrong. "Our position is the hotel did everything it was supposed to do and responded appropriately and took care of the guests in the appropriate manner," Cata said.

While in the Dominican Republic, the cousins signed an agreement not to sue, but their lawyer said they did so under duress.

In their lawsuits, the cousins allege that the cast and crew had been served "excessive amounts of alcohol" at the bar and became "intoxicated, belligerent and rowdy" – a scene reminiscent of a recent episode in which Joe Giudice and his brother-in-law scuffled at a lavish christening party. With 2.8 million viewers, that May 16 episode marked the biggest season premiere in Bravo history.

In addition to the Giudices and the Manzo brothers, the lawsuit filed in New York names the Manzos' roommate Gregory Bennett Jr. as one of the assailants. Bennett shares an apartment with the brothers, who star in their own spin-off reality show on the Internet.

Arreola, 42, told the Tribune that his family had flown to the Dominican Republic to attend a vow renewal ceremony for his wife's aunt and uncle, who were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. Shortly after midnight Feb. 23, he and several family members went to a hotel lounge and found seats near the VIP section where the cast was being filmed.

About an hour later, Giudice began spraying champagne and drenched Arreola's mother-in-law, Yolanda Martinez, the lawsuits said.

Martinez, a grandmother of four who is also part of the suits, said Giudice deliberately sprayed the champagne into her face and all over her body. As Martinez tried rubbing the alcohol from her burning eyes, cast members stood around her laughing, she said.

"They were laughing at me like it was funny," she said. "They were right in my face. I felt humiliated."

Arreola, who was on the dance floor, walked over to Giudice and asked her to stop, he said. The Manzo brothers began yelling obscenities, Arreola said, and he identified himself as a police officer. According to the lawsuits, cast members then pounced on him, and his cousin was hurt coming to his aid.

Security eventually broke up the fight, but initially refused the cousins' requests to call an ambulance and law enforcement, according to the suit.

The vow renewal ceremony was canceled so the family could deal with the aftermath, the cousins said. On Feb. 24, the men and several cast members met with a magistrate to discuss what happened. All of those involved were required to hand over their passports. The cast was represented by lawyers from New York and Santo Domingo, Arreola said. Police retained a local lawyer for the cousins, Arreola said.

"I wanted justice," he said. "I kept saying, 'Why aren’t these guys arrested?' I was told that I didn't understand Dominican law." The cousins say some cast members, including Teresa Giudice, told police they sustained scratches and bruises in the brawl as well. The cousins vehemently denied punching Giudice in the face, as was reported on some gossip sites immediately after the fight.

"If that had happened, we would be in jail," Gomez said.

On Feb. 25 — two days after the encounter — the cousins were given release forms to sign and were told they would get their passports back and be allowed to leave the country once the paperwork was completed, they said. According to the cousins, the documents stated that in exchange for dropping the matter, the men would receive $25,000 apiece as long as they agreed never to sue or talk about the incident publicly.

About $8,000 went to their Dominican lawyer. The cousins never cashed their $17,000 cut, said Demetrio.

Gomez said he encouraged Arreola to sign the documents so they could leave the country and have their injuries taken care of back home.

Their lawyer maintains the release is not valid because they signed under duress and has asked the court to declare the release invalid.

"It was so skewed against them," Demetrio said.

Arreola, who has worked for the UIC police for about 15 years, underwent surgery on his right arm after returning to the states and is undergoing physical therapy, Demetrio said. Arreola, who shoots a gun with his right hand, cannot return to his job until he can re-qualify on the gun range.

"I'm worried,” said Arreola, who had six screws put in to repair his arm. "I only have five years left until I can retire. I can see the finish line and then something like this happens."

Gomez had surgery on his leg and now has two pins in his knee, he said. Two long scars on either side of the patella leave his kneecap looking more like a baseball than a body part. Still on crutches, he does not know when he'll be cleared to return to work.

These people are such fucking animals. They all pounce and circle someone when one of them has a problem. Every single time there's been a problem that might turn physical, the offending person suddenly have 20 people surrounding them.
