TOTALLY AGREE WITH NAPOLEAN DYNAMITE. I heard so much good things about that movie, and when I saw it, I was like 'you're kidding, its shit'.

And as for Brokeback- the fuss was 2 hot guys making out of course.

If that doesn't bring in the people, what will!

Forrest Gump and Nell. I wanted to jump into the movie and strangle Jodi Foster's character.
I'm not quite drunk enough to really care, but is this her violation of her violation of her violation of her violation of probation or her violation of her violation of her violation of her probation????? ~MontanaMama on LL's latest arrest.

Here are some overrated films that annoy me:

    A History of Violence
    About Schmidt
    The Hours
Brokeback Mountain (but it wasn't BAD)

Most overrated film ever: Crash. (Once again, it wasn't BAD, but GOD what was the big freakin' deal?)

I agree! It was 'good', but not as great as it was made out to be. People were like, 'you HAVE to see this movie, oh my god, its amazing' and I was expecting so much more. I did like it though because of Matt Dillon- I was so jealous of that woman he inappropriately felt up....

Apparently it was a positive movie against racism, but honestly I hardly noticed that. I was involved in the people because I DON'T CARE ABOUT SKIN COLOUR, and then none of the characters storylines were resolved and I was left thinking "how can it end there! what was the point?"
apparently the point was not to be racist.

    ^^^^
crash was as subtle as those anti-drug ads from the 80s, the ones with the frying egg and the ominous *this is your brain on drugs* voiceover.

*clears throat* Crash was not a movie about racism. That's the leading misconception about this movie, and it's caused unnecessary controversy. There were many more themes explored in Crash than racism alone. That's why it's a fucking brilliant movie. If you don't "get" that, then I'm sorry for you. You missed out on a beautiful experience.

And why would you want all your questions answered? In life, we don't get all our questions answered. Crash was about life and the interconnectedness of all us frail human creatures. That's also why it was a fucking brilliant piece of work. Again, I'm sorry if you missed out on the beauty of that. I'm sorry you thought it was a movie about racism. It wasn't. It was about Us vs. Them, You vs. Me. It was about how fucking hard it is to be a human. It was about the many faces we put forth to the world: Who we are vs. Who we want the world to think we are.

Did I say there were many themes? Did I say Crash was a fucking brilliant movie? Did I say I feel sorry for those of you that didn't "get" it? Cuz there were. And it is. And I do.

    Thank you, that is all...

I'm sorry but if you need to show the frailty of the human condition and social connectivity by having everyone in the movie LITERALLY connected to each other and then dying, your film is hamfisted and obvious.

    p.s. go gay cowboys
