OMG you just bagged saving private ryan! first of all the first scene is a masterpiece and it is not "excessive" at all, it shows war for what it really is. as does the rest of the film which demonstrates the bonds that soldiers had with one another aswell as the courage they showed.

imo the best scene isnt even the best scene of the movie, its the last one which is just as brutal and is just as memorable with the way they eventually win the battle with such a small amount of troops. the characters were all great to watch aswell and their relationship with the captain was brilliant.

it was also great because none of the soldiers were rambo's, in fact only 3 of them ended up surviving the whole movie.

i could go on about this forever, i have seen alot of war movies and few are as memorable as saving private ryan, it is a fucking masterpiece.

    however, overrated films IMO

the departed, was good but not oscar worthy. the original of it was better

the lord of the rings, was also good but compared to the book it seemed very cheesy and too "hollywood" if you get what i mean. didnt do tolkien justice.

titanic, only movie ive ever fallen asleep in. boring, just die you cunts

Monsters Ball. I thought is was ok, but I just couldnt see what all the hype was about.

Should I dare say it? okay, ' Boys don't cry' Hilary Swank was good, but the movie itself was just dull

yea the matrix sequels really were shit. it was like the wachowski brothers made a story that was just so complex and great with alot of potential that they just didnt know what the fuck to do with it lol. the 3rd installement had probably the worst conclusion of any movie ive ever seen imo...

As far as I'm concerned, there is only the first Matrix film. I chose to erase the shitty sequels from memory.

^ That is exactly what the boyfriend says. To him, there was only one Matrix movie, he will deny the existance of any sequels

thats a good idea. the matrix (original) was one of my favourite movies of all time, when the other two came out i was so excited, the second one i thought seemed kind of pointless and too cliche but the ending got me really, really excited for the last one. BUT THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS MADE A TOTAL PIECE OF SHIT AS THE LAST MOVIE ALL I COULD DO WAS at the whole thing and especially the ending.why??????????????????????

Hm. I've only seen the first Matrix flick. I don't recall watching #2, and definitely not #3. So I guess that's not such a bad thing?

Soth: Why is 300 overrated? I fucking loved that movie, but I'm kinda biased. There's a special place in my heart for the Spartans. So I unabashedly give it my personal 4 out of 5 whatevers.

WH Luurved the movie but hatted the hype, the under coloured sepia and overdone tones didnt do it for me......even Daisy (whenam) who did the voice over was embarased a little bit........I am looking forward to Watchmen though..that should be awesome

Wait, are they really doing Watchmen? I'm so not looking forward to that....can't they just leave it as it is? Especially since Moore isn't a big fan of his graphic novels being turned into movies, I doubt he's that excited about it or jumping to be involved.
