I've finished the first 3 books and I love them, although they do get a little Mills & Boonish at times, and the third book is just too full on - the first half is all (necessary) exposition, and the second half is one disaster after another. I hope J&C get to chill for a bit in book 4, because I'm exhausted.

Really loving the TV series though, I've watched it half a dozen times and I can't get enough of the wedding episode, it's basically porn for chicks. They are such a beautiful looking couple, I could watch them bonk all day.

^LOL. They are good together but he was too goofy for my taste. I believe he is supposed to be younger than her, but acted like a teenager in love.
What is the age difference between them?

He's supposed to be about 23 and she's late 20s I think (or maybe 30 - she was a nurse in the war for 6 years) but he's a sweet innocent virgin and she's the merry widow with lots of experience, so him acting like a lovesick teen is very true to the character.

Read them all (Outlander several times) and they are like GRRM's books -- sometimes I skipped chunks, especially when they became too verbose about herbs and land and stuff. Dragonfly I liked the least.

The second half is a few episodes in. I am far enough removed from when I read the book that I don't recall the storyline perfectly. Still loving it, and the actor that plays Jaimie grows on me with each episode.

I thought their time at Lollybroch (sp?) was more idyllic than portrayed? I recall a few harrowing encounters wither Redcoats, but I didn't recall JAimie being taken by them. I probably just don't recall the storyline properly though.

Still loving the the time they are taking, the camera work, the scenery. Love it!

I'm enjoying the TV series more than the books. They've really done an outstanding job bringing this story to life. Good chemistry between the leads too. Sam Heughan is crazy hot as Jamie, as his blond self, not so much.

I have not looked anyone up as their present day, real life selves yet, do not want to have present day reality mix in with my 1700s fantasy.

It was funny, I immediately watched an episode of Royals (the new series with what's her face) after watching Outlander, lord it was jarring after watching something so quietly done. (Although I like Royals too!)

Anyone watching season 2? I loved the episode at Versaiiles! And I do believe that Jaimie is hotter. Sigh.
