My thoughts exactly. Once they start killing off the main characters, there's no where to go except pregnancy cliffhangers and saccharine weddings.

Re: One of the Housewives get killed off
Shows seem to be jumping the shark after their first seasons of late.

I don't think one of the desperate housewives will be killed. It said a 'leading character'. That could be one of the men. They are trying to get people to tune in just to see. I haven't watched it since the first season, and I won't watch it just to see who dies.

I think it's either Nora or Andrew. I also stopped watching midway through the 2nd season, when the show went from being believable (a normal neighborhood with a scandalous secret) to absurd. I also think that Marc Cherry needs to make up his mind about where he wants to go with these characters. Examples Bree and Gabby:
Bree's married... she separates... Rex dies... she gets engaged to George... they split up... George dies... she gets engaged to Orson... he has a suspicious past and will probably be killed off.
Gabrielle gets pregnant... she doesn't want a baby... she miscarries... she changes her mind and DOES want one after all... she gets a surrogate... the baby is not theirs...
It's like he keeps changing his mind about what he wants for these characters so he has to kill people off and repeat storylines to fix it. It's really getting old.

My vote's for Edie. She's most expendable. The only storyline for her is her nephew. She leaves him the house and he bones Julie.
