as for the shining, great story but i think stephen king is kind of a lousy writer (great storyteller though) so i think the movie was actually an improvement, even though it changed the story considerably.
I like the Adrian Lyne version as well. I like Kubrick, and Clockwork is probably one of my all time favorites!

I swear Con Air is the worst movie ever. That dreck was on TNT last night and I couldn't turn away from the train wreck. Nicholas Cage is bad enough, but Nicholas Cage trying to do a Southern accent is unholy.

I can't believe the sexay talent that is John Malkovich would lower himself to shit like this.

Pearl Harbor. Sadly, I used to love this movie being 12 when it first came out and my crush on Josh Hartnett had me blind. Bought it on dvd and watched it and saw clearly, just how bad it is.

That's so weird that you're bringing that up, Lynnie. After reading a thread today about Tom Cruise, I started wondering that very thing & I've got the wiki page about the movie open right now. I read the plot summary about an hour ago & couldn't tell you what the movie was supposed to mean to save my life.

I loved Joe Dirt. Its ridiculousness and self-deprecating southern/rednecky send-ups made it really funny to me... It was knowingly silly and I liked that. I only hated Dennis Miller in it because I always hate that smug, unfunny bastard.
