That's cute that you guys watch Monk together. I never thought of it as a romantic show but I can see how funny Tony Shaloub/Monk is and how it can be fun to watch it with a boyfriend. I'll just cuddle with the roomie and watch!
It looks like Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) is guest starring for the season premiere. He is pretty hilarious so it should be a great episode:

When his new neighbor plays his music too loud, Monk decides it's time to move. He takes a huge step and buys a house that turns into a money pit, particularly when he hires the handyman from hell who is determined to rip up the entire house. Brad Garrett guest stars. It was a good episode and I think they handled Dr. Kroger's passing very well.

Yes, I definitely agree. It was an appropriate and touching tribute. I liked how they showed Monk really mourning his loss, as I'm sure it's very true-to-life.
