I saw that over the weekend, a bunch of people were retweeting it and then a few days later someone said it was just a joke. I hope it is.
It'll fuck you up a little bit....

Not to spoil the spoiler, but Peggy gets partner before Pete? HAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!
RELIGION: Treat it like it's your genitalia. Don't show it off in public, and don't shove it down your children's throats.
Nope, not buying it.
And speaking of the opening credits, am I the only one who always feels a twinge of discomfort every time I see them? It reminds me of pics I saw of 9/11, men with their ties flailing in the air as they jumped out of the twin towers.

I know! What WAS that? Freaked me out. Reminded me of "LA Law" when Rosalyn Shay fell down the elevator shaft.
That damn Pete is such a whore! I keep waiting for him to go postal.
I didn't see Megan quitting either. Watch: She'll get into acting and hook up with some actor and cheat on or leave Don and he'll freak.
There's a very odd vibe about this series. It's like a slightly disjointed dream. You feel like an observer rather than a participant just like Don. Last night he and Megan went to dinner with Pete and Don was wearing a truly terrible cheap check jacket. Mr Smooth Sophisticate looked like Pee Wee Herman and behaved like him too. Maybe it's deliberate and if so its very clever or maybe I can't engage with the characters and story like before.

Oh wow, do I ever agree with you! The whole season [series] has had an odd fever dream quality. It was so striking in the first episode that I was sure they were about to pull a 'Dallas'--as in, Betty would wake up and find Don in the shower or some shizz. Folks up above mentioned how they felt 'high' during and just after Roger's acid trip--I was glad this was brought up because I thought it was just me and my spliff---but here again, another manifestation of the fever dream quality.
Surely the whole season won't turn out to be a dream, but there is something to it, definitely, I'm just not sure what. It's an innovative narrative mode, whatever it is. Hmm, perhaps it's a subliminal technique to illustrate the power of advertising to make us 'feel' whatever it's creators want us to feel.
Don't fear the reefer..
Other examples are Dons actual fever dream when an ex comes to his apartment, they have sex and then he strangles her or that weird boxing between Peter and Lane after the failed Jaguar account. I just can't get my head around the disconnect between what we see happening and what we know about the characters. It's either very clever writing and acting or the show's jumped the shark.

Right, Don's actual fever dream may be a clue to the broader narrative mode but I feel certain that these writers won't pull a straight-up shark jumpey 'it was all a dream' out of their asses. They've had time to plan something truly innovative, and they're quite capable of it, so I'm looking forward to finding out what this...surreality...is all about. Perhaps we'll find out that Roger has been narrating the whole season high on acid.![]()

The script is fake, btw:

I am getting tired of Meghan as well. I want the old dirty, whore Don back. Even fat Betty would be a nice change of scenery at this point.
I finally watched the last episode. Underwhelmed. Even more confused to be honest, because like everyone else, it all seems so 'off' this season.
And yes, the script is a fake----sorry about that. I sucked into everything.
Another good ep. Felt for Pete when he got rejected by that lady. When he put the phone down in the office telephone box you could see the pain in his face. Good acting.
Poor Don - Megan quitting really threw him of course. He could barely function. I don't see their marriage lasting.
As for Peggy she has become Don. Staying overnight at the office; drinking at her desk. Work is her life and its kind of sad. I guess she feels she has to really prove herself.
This ep was ok but nothing special. I agree with some of the posters that the ep's have a strange dream like quality about them in general this season.
Also i am not sure where this programme is going. Peggy, Pete and Don are the main characters and i don't find them as interesting as i used to. We will see what happens. But i feel that programme should have one or two more seasons and then call it a day.
BTW the actress who plays Ken Cosgroves wife played the younger sister in 10 Things I Hate About You.
Don's mother in law is played by Julia Ormond. She got alot of hype in the 90's after starring in Legends of the Fall
My 21 year old son and I just got into this show when he was off work recuperating from surgery. He and I heard good things about the show so we rented all the seasons, and just caught up right before the season premier. The first few seasons were SO GOOD. This season, I dunno, it's just not as good. Something is off. The first couple seasons were absolute genius.
I DO enjoy reading all the feedback on here from you all......
Forgive me because I am just catching up with one more to go from last week. So my comments are late. However, I did not know I was so far behind. I was trying to create my own Mad Men Marathon, you see, and totally missed the hiring of the African American secretary/receptionist. Which episode did that occur. I want to go back and see it.
On another note, one of my favorite lines in one of the episodes was Roger's ex saying she thought he left because she'd gotten old and then realized it was him.
The part about Peggy inviting her Mom over to tell her about living with her boyfriend was a little not realistic for that day. Regardless of background, culture you just didn't think that ANYONE would appreciate such an arrangement. In general, that is.
