Oh boy. Betty sure had her eyes forced open last night, didn't she? Hopefully, she'll grow up overnight (as young naive wives are wont to do when they learn their husbands, and the world, are not what they think or hope) and things with her will get very, very interesting.

Salvatore may be in the closet but he is definitely not in denial about his sexuality, is he?

and yes, Salvatore definetly knows what he is, but there's just no way for him to live it....i hope he's happy somehow.

Brilliant episode!!! Jane standing up to Joan was awesome! And is it me or is Joan getting bigger? Not pregnnant bigger but fat?

Salvatore wants Ken. Bad! does Kitty know she's a beard?

I hate litterbugs. I wanted to jump through the screen and make them clean up their picnic site!

Ohhh Betty. I felt bad for her!

yeah, i feel bad for her too and i haven't even seen this episode!

but she could do so much better than being a suburban housewife; she's wasting herself in that house doing silly little tasks everyday etc. etc.

and i thought joan was getting bigger too just from the few episodes i caught this season, but she really rocks those sexy dresses doesn't she! i could never ever get away with that shit in today's work environment! i dont even wear skirts personally!!!

Oh it was awesome when Jane stood up to Joan. And yes, Joan is starting to look like a linebacker. Foundation garments are her friend.

I don't think Kitty could even imagine the concept of a beard.

Comments on last weeks ep...i didn't like it at all. It was boring and nothing much happened. However it was good to see Peggy all glammed up. KristiB...yes it seems to me that Pete wants to rekindle something with Peggy. But i doubt she wants that...

As for Don - poor man he just can't cope anymore can he? He totally flips with his new mistress and then goes home and can't even look at himself in the mirror.

So much for Don's car not getting dirty...I think Betty might start exploring her sexuality after this episode. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I was waiting for Salvatore to corner Ken and plant one on him. I feel bad for Kitty, I think she's like Betty. She has her suspicions (about Salvatore) but doesn't want to face them.

Yes...a very good ep; the best one of the season so far.

I love the new secretary Jane...she is so much fun...esp when she snuck into the company directors office (sorry i can't remember his name). I really want to see more Jane vs Joan ep's. Yes...Salvatore does want Ken...but i doubt he's going to get him. So he'll keep fiddling with Ken's cigarette lighter. Poor Salvatore...can't be easy hiding his true nature. I felt so sorry for him when he was sitting with his wife and mother. He looked at his wife for like a second...then felt Ken's cigarette lighter.

Paul is still jealous of Ken...i wonder if Paul will eventually publish anything of his own?

As for Don...loved the way the comedian made him know that he knew that Don is having an affair with his wife. Did you see the look on Don's face? Priceless...

And poor Betty...she thought her husband's cheating ways were over...but now she knows they're not and probably will never be.

Without a doubt the best thing about this ep was finding out that Don used to be a used car salesman. Who was that blond he was talking to? I wonder how many more people know his secret?

Oooh, Betty is finally getting some balls! I love seeing that. It was actually kind of sad to see Don's face when she confronts him when he's sleeping. I think he does love her, but he loves the idea of a perfect wife/mother more than he actually loves her though.

And Joan's face when she finds out that she won't be doing any more work for the TV department - loved it! Remember when she scolded Peggy for "wanting to be more"? Looks like she got a taste of being more than a secretary. I see that plot line going a little further, with her finally realizing maybe there's more to life than wanting to be at the beck and call of men and an object of desire.

Poor Freddie.

Somebody needs to slap Betty. She needs to snap out of it and do something with her life. I guess she needs time to grieve and to figure out just who the hell she really is.

Don and Peggy are moral cowards. They both have compassion and a sense of fairness but they throw it out at the drop of a hat if their ambitions are threatened. Pete is a weasly little bastard who has nothing but ambition.

I guess a hot steamy affair is in the works for the two who had lunch at the end. (shit, can't remember either of their names.)

OK I'm confused about what happened with Jane. Did she tell Mona what Roger and Don talked about?

I felt bad for Freddie too.

I'm confused about the ending as well. I know Roger left Mona for his secretary but I don't think I've seen her (maybe I missed that somewhere). I was left with the impression Jane is the one he's having the affair with and that's why Don said he wanted her off his desk.
