ugh, i HATE that Betty married Henry. Hate it. She's no good to me, unless she's with Don.

And the new guy that is all over Peggy. who is he? i dont like him.

i loved it when Don threw those prudes out of the office. I also loved the ending with the Wall Street Journal.

    i give it a B.

S&M is nothing new for Don. His dalliance with Bobbie Barett has elements of that.

I second everyone's comments so far. I thought it was a great episode. Betty sucks, Henry looks miserable, I can't wait for her to crawl back to Don which I feel is inevitable since her new marriage is imploding and she doesn't know what to do without a man. I know Don's a cheating bastard, but Betty is just so cold and unlikable. Sally has grown up so much, she looks very pretty. Roger was fantastic as always, love the new office and the new feel of the show.

Poor Don seems miserable. And he's still paying for that bitch and her new husband to live in his house? Fuck that. I can't believe Henry's such a freeloader that he would live in his wife's house. I thought he was the one that would "wisk her away" instead of mooching off her.

their new offices were cool i thought, how funny the 60's "modern" stuff that IKEA still carries nowadays

and Don being slapped during sex was the highlight of my night of course

and Betty being a little bitch and not giving 2 shits about her poor kids. poor little Sally

LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT. Even watched twice last night, thank you insomnia. Funny how you catch so much more the second time around too...

For those who are a bit confused, they jumped a year ahead (dur). Here's a link to Gawkers recap of the episode if you care to check it out. Didn't post the entire thing in case people wanted to be surprised.

And mother of God, Don in bed w/the hooker. It literally made me sit up straight and get very very giddy!

I love how they showed there was no such legitimate business as PR back then. They were like, great the ham fighting stunt worked but you can't even charge them for it! I am so proud of how Peggy keeps coming up with these innovative ideas.

And I loved how at first Don refused to go along with the change ("my work should speak for itself") but in the end he understood he had to play the PR game and really dove in headfirst with that Wall Street Journal interview. He took his own advice he gave to the Jantzen people--what was it, "you can be safe and dead or you can take a risk and succeed."

So exciting to be re-living the novelties of that era through this show. I know they skipped a year ahead, so what year does that put them at, Nov. 1966?

    ^^1965 I think?

And I loved the end too, when Don was talking to the WSJ. I don't know why, but I loved it......had to play the game.

And when Roger walked in on Don sleeping in his office and goes 'Oh good, I caught you when you're vunerable!'...something about that guy totally makes my life.

Where do I sign up to be Don's S&M bitch?

    I love Roger!

Betty is so miserable no matter who she's with or where she is. I bet she goes crawling back to Don and I hope he rejects her frigid ass. I can't believe she and Henry live in Don's house. I thought he'd move her away to some other hoity-toity burb. Why isn't HE looking for a house? Man up and take control of the situation!

So funny Henry's mother can see how miserable the kids are. And good for her for not blaming Sally and putting it on Betty.

My parents used to have that John and Marsha album. I about fell out of my chair when I heard Peggy and that guy doing the routine.

    I'm pretty sure it's late in 1964.

The last season ended in December '63.
