Clear your calendars for Mon., Sep. 21 as January Jones and Jon Hamm will be sitting down with none other than Oprah Winfrey. While we're not sure if Oprah will be able to resolve any issues of their on-screen characters, we do know that the Queen of Talk is a fan of the series and is spotlighting it as part of a special edition of her show entitled "Oprah Goes Back in Time: The 60s."

Yes, "the carousel" in the last episode of season 1 was a tearjerker.

Well last night's episode was my favorite this year, if anything for the completely unexpected foot mowing. By Lois, no less! Oh stupid dumb Lois, she can't do anything right.

Poor Joanie, I am so sad for her. She's stuck with her crappy husband and no job and might move to Alabama(!) just so Dr. McRapey can still be a surgeon. I wonder if the foot mowing incident and Lois' probable firing might allow Joan to stay on. She has to stay, that place has become one of the few things that makes her happy.

Betty made strides as a mother this week, at least she made an effort to help Sally accept her brother even if she never learned the real reasons Sally was resisting. I LOVED how Don came through on this. Broke it down, held his daughter close, shared time together with the two children so Sally could understand. wtg Don.

Poor Roger, everyone finds him irrelevant.

Peggy fainted into Pete's arms, yay.

And hats off to everyone who pegged Connie from a few episodes back as Conrad Hilton! His mouse ads were so shitty but I wonder if they were shitty on purpose so he could test/lure Don into working for him.
    Enjoy the liquor and delicatessen.

yeah i feel horrid for Joan too and glad that Betty was doing somewhat better, I think she does better when Don treats her better and worse when he's being a dick

Everything Roger says is pure gold! I was dying when he walked into the office with all of the underlings who were various shades of green after the lawnmower incident. Something like..."It looks like Iwo Jima out there" and about the new Brit "Just when he got his foot in the door...". Although, my favorite quote of the evening was when the big Brit boss lamented "He'll never be able to play golf again". Sal has the best one liners as well. Love Sal.
...of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

"And another thing, FUCK Pete Campbell, he keeps lucking into good things when he deserves nothing but bad things, the worst things, to happen to him. You got a promotion you didn't even deserve and you're bitching that you don't get it all to yourself?? STFU, you sniveling, ungrateful snotty, entitled asshole. Really, I'm ready for him to be unceremoniously hit by a fucking bus, I hate his character so much."

Geez, how foretelling is this statement? Talk about nailing it...
