After watching the latest episode is anyone even interested in the mystery or have any understanding of it?
Katie Cassidy's character's cousin is dating Serena and her brother wants to get revenge for something she supposedly done .
This season has been awful so far.

EXCLUSIVE: Gossip Girl firebrand Taylor Momsen will continue to be a scarce presence on the CW soap during the second half of the season. Sources confirm that the increasingly volatile actress — who has appeared in a grand total of three episodes this fall despite being listed as a series regular — will begin an indefinite hiatus following next Monday's episode. Although reps for The CW and producer Warner Bros. declined to comment, sources confirm that Momsen's Jenny will be MIA for at least four episodes beginning with the show's midseason finale on Dec. 6.

The news comes as the 17-year-old Pretty Reckless singer's off-screen antics — namely her barely-there wardrobe and expletive-laced tirades against peers such as Miley Cyrus — continue to raise eyebrows. In September, Project Runway's Tim Gunn — who played mentor to Jenny in an episode that aired last month — blasted Momsen for her lack of professionalism on the set. "What a diva," he told E! News. "She was pathetic, she couldn't remember her lines, and she didn't even have that many. I thought to myself, 'Why are we being held hostage by this brat?'"
However, a Gossip insider maintains that the airtime for Momsen, an original cast member who has been on the show since the pilot, has been reduced for strictly creative reasons. Michael Ausiello will be contributing to Deadline.com and Movieline.com as he preps for the January launch of a new TV-centric website.

can someone tell me who that guy is in jail and why he hates serena? do we know this yet?

A month later and we STILL don't know yet. I could be so into this plotline (and I still kinda am) if they'd just give us SOME sorta tie-in between Juliet/brother in Jail and Serena.

But that aside, tonight's episode was great. Especially Blair's last line. OMG.

This season has been ALOT better than previously. BUt I"m really, really sick of the show building up to a major cliffhanger at the end of each season, only to come back and drag-ass for months until the last 3 episodes.

I have this theory about Ben. It was mentioned that he was a teacher, right? Then Juliet told Lily about Serena's affair with a teacher back in her boarding school days (which not many people could know about), so maybe Ben was that teacher. Since she was underage, maybe he's in jail for statutory or something. I don't know, I've been trying to figure out who he could be and how they're all related...This episode definitely peaked my interest into this storyline.

It does have me feeling like all the shows I like suck for a majority of the season, then get crazy good the last few eps...

i must've missed he used to be a teacher. the theory about him being in jail because of an affair with serena sounds good and it fits.

But that aside, tonight's episode was great. Especially Blair's last line. OMG.

i loved blair's last line, too.


and god, i hate vanessa on the show. and it's a shame because she seems to be a really cool person in real life.

I saw The Townie ep a few days ago and i have to say that it was the best ep of the season so far.

I loved Serena's flashbacks. The reveal about why Katie Cassidy's character hates Serena was good.

Despite everything that Lilly's done i like her character.

Everything here fell into place and made sense.

Blair and Dan working together was good. I hope to see more eps of the the two them working together.

Nate for once was not boring. At last it seems like the writers have something for him to do.

Hopefully the next few ep's will be just as good.

I hope not! I really, REALLY, want Dan & Serena back together! IRL & on the show, they would just make the cutest babies. Anyways, if Dan & Blair become a couple.. ACK! But I'd probably end up falling in love with them...

I have watched this show pretty much from the beginning

but I am starting to not really care for it much anymore

this season just didn't interest me all that much

I too would like to see Dan and Serena get back together

Just watched the Kids Are Alright.

Pretty good ep; looks like GG is getting back to form. Even Serena wasn't annoying.

The best part was Chuck and his new business rival. Of course he would go and sleep with his new rivals daughter...oh Chuck.

I love that he and lilly are pairing up to take down the new rivals. Brilliant.

No Vanessa this ep and i didn't even miss her or Taylor Momsen.

Serena's brother is underused as usual. I wonder why he is even in it anymore?

The same goes for Dan's father and Dan.

I don't like the obvious Dan and Blair partnership.

I like that fact that Nate's father is partnering up with the new business man. Why anyone reputable would use him is beyond me. I suspect that this new business guy is going to play dirty. Good.
