I never read the books but tuned in to watch the show and it wasn't that bad. I'll probably watch again tonight

That girl looks familiar. Wasn't she in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?

I know it's lame that I enjoy these teeny-bopper shows, but I'm getting into this one. I just think Dan and Rufus are so hot! I tried flipping between this and Private Practice and I just couldn't watch it, Kate Walsh is pretty dumb for leaving Grey's.

See, I'm sort of the same as you Laxmobster, except I feel sort of tired of this same storyline they've got going. And that guy who plays Nate- I should be obsessing over him because he's gorgeous, but I'm just like OVER that. He's too obviously good looking to be a star. He's so generic.
The only people I really like on this show are Dan, Serena, Jenny, Blair and Rufus- the actors that is; so far I have yet to give a royal shit in a gold-encrusted toilet bowl about any character yet. But time, as always, will tell.
Besides, I'm not used to seeing these kind of shows one ep a week- because we get them a good 400 years after America here, I'm used to watching them in one go. Maybe that's my problem.

Saw the second ep a few days ago. Definitely an improvement on the pilot. The script was better and i am even beginning to like some characters that i hated before like Serena and Jenny. Can't wait for this Wednesday.

I have seen all 3 episodes thus far, and must admit, am hooked.
Love it! But I love bitchy shows with twisted story lines.
I really wanna smack Blair!

Congrats to the team for that very obvious bit of info!
After watching ep 3 I've decided that I like this show, but it needs some improvement. First off, we need some characters who are LIKEABLE! Other than Rufus, Jenny and... suicide kid. Whatever his name is.
All the others can go fuck themselves so far. Yes, even Serena.
But the 3rd ep was a massive improvement. I wish Jenny was the star. Sigh.

If it follows the books, Jenny gets very unlikable before too long. But, judging by what we've seen so far, I'm not sure if the show is going to go that route.

Hahaha for some reason I like Chuck's character, they all seem to goody goody and he's brings that typical spoiled rich kid persona to the show. I think he's a complete dick but an interesting one.
It doesn't seem like there's much gossip to be had if Serena and Blair are friends now, oh excuse me S and B. (Hahahaha I love that they even call themselves that)

Blair and Serena are constantly fighting and making up throughout the books, so I think there will still be plenty of drama between them.
Chuck is entertaining, and I agree that he brings something different to the table. Nate was much more of a fuckup in the books.... he wasn't as much of a goody goody. In fact, none of the characters were.
I like the Dan/Serena relationship, but I kind of feel bad for Dan because it's clear that to him, she's a priority, but to her, he's only an option.
I would like to see more interaction between Jenny and Erik. And I hope they drop the whole Rufus/Lillian thing. It's cheesy and, personally, I don't want to see entire storylines revolving around the adults.
