WARNING - I'M ABOUT TO GO ON AN "IT'S DIFFERENT IN THE BOOKS!" RANT:

(Not really) but there were a heap of changes from the books. Most of them I'm fine with, but for some reason the Jaime/Cersei scene really bugs me because in the books he rejects Cersei and it's the beginning of them officially drifting apart.

Gandalf spoiler: His name is Lord Rivers aka Brynden Rivers aka Bloodraven but I don't think he's been mentioned yet in the show. He's a Targaryen, former Hand of the King and over 100 years old.

He's actually my favourite character in the whole ASOIAF universe (apart from Davos) and in the Dunk & Egg novellas he's kind of the rock star of Westeros. If I was a Westerosi wench I would have so been a Bloodraven groupie but he had a thing for his sister - how surprising.

So Bran is going to be a tree now and live to be over 100? What's the significance of the tree?

And TvLine spoiled Lady SH for me. I don't know why or how Lady SH is around but I know who it is now.

Haven't seen it yet but so livid about it! Leave Jamie's character a lone! He didn't rape Cersei over Joff's corpse either. It was consensual!!!

I wanted him to reject Cersei in that scene, and that was without knowing he actually does in the book. It would have just made more sense to me.

I love Tyrion, Jon Snow and Brienne of Tarth. Man, she's awesome!

WHAT an episode. I thought Jaime only banged that fucking skank as a way to get Tyrion out of there... but I like his character and hate hers so...
I loved the episode. I was glad that whore got hers! I was SAD about the Hound, I wanted Arya to help him... actually, I wanted them all to join up and him and Brienne could've got it on! But DAYUM Brienne put an ass whooping on him! I'm kinda sad Tywin is gone because ... well, yummm. I'm sad we have to wait so long for the next season.... what show shall we now watch? I keep seeing commercials about that show where a part of the population just disappears. It looks like Justin Theroux is in it maybe...

Brienne is amazing, she's a great actress too. I love her. Now I've said that she'll probably be killed off in the first episode of season 5...(faithanne you are welcome to ivory font me a spoiler here)

The weirwood trees are like the internet of Westeros - Bloodraven teaches Bran how to tap into the weirwood network to see the past (and the present).

I won't tell you anything much about her story because there's a huge spoiler and she spends a lot of time wandering around the countryside with Pod asking if anyone has seen a maid of four and ten and going on a wild goose chase, which is a little boring on the first read but really great on the second because you get an insight into how the wars have affected the smallfolk. But it would make for dreary television so I think they'll change her story or just make up adventures for her as filler (like her fight with the Hound - that never happened in the books) but I can say that as of the end of the last book so far she is still alive although she's had part of her face bitten off.

I am that person that watches films and asks people who have already seen it what's going to happen. I do enjoy surprises when they happen (I guess) but I also think I'm an insufferable know-it-all and it frustrates me when I don't know something!!

Honestly the more you discover about the GoT world the more questions it brings up. Ignorance is bliss grasshopper. Enjoy the ride.

I'm trying to read the 1st book, but I keep putting it down and reading other books. Hopefully, it clicks in for me soon.

I did not like the dragons being locked up, I want them causing havoc and just being dragons. I love the Hound and hope this is not the end of his story...

The dragons being locked up damn near made me cry! I thought it was so sad, broke my heart how they were screaming for their mama as she locked them away in the catacombs.
