Just one more episode left this season, right?
    Kill him.

I loved that episode - non-stop mayhem and fighting. You could literally watch it 3 times and catch something new each time.

They were having a field day on Gawker talking about these subjects:

    1. The way the "elevator" works and what gives it it's power - not just a little kid running around.
    2. The loss of two long-term characters from the Wall.
    3. What Ygritte says to Snow and what it was actually a reference to.
    4. The scythe not appearing in the book, but being a badass weapon just the same.
    5. The giants - did they look cool or stupid? (I loved them.)

What I can't figure out is what happened to the a-hole commander who fell off the stairs and onto the ground during the fight. Is he alive or just incapacitated.

Just one more episode left - the season finale.

I thought the cave Ygritte referred to was where they got it on in that hot spring, wasn't it?

Not a fan of a whole episode of fighting (boring, could've cut it down to the important parts and shown Kings Landing stuff too.)

But I was a fan of the scythe, that was so freakin cool that I cheered.

And I had trouble following what happened to the Nights Watch commander dude, too.

Yes, she's talking about the cave where they holed up together. Thorne is probably still alive on the show. He's alive in the book after the battle at the wall, in fact, his part in the battle is very different in the books.

This is so mean! Have a like though

I was really skeptical about this episode, I didn't know how much I would enjoy it after I saw in opening credits there was no one else but the men of the wall in it. Maybe that's why I enjoyed it so much. But a big step for Jon Snow and it leads into next weeks finale really great.

I can't believe it's the finale next week though, I have really enjoyed this season. The only storyline I haven't really liked or been interested in more than others is Khalessi's if I'm being honest. It bored a bit.

All I know is I better get me some motherfuckin dragon action. They have been woefully underused so far.

I think Daryl Dragon is supposed to be in the finale as Danaerys's unsullied harpsichordist.

Yep I love Dany (unpopular opinion with book purists) but the Meereen storyline is sooooo boring. The highlights are when she chats with Barristan and gets lots of backstory about her family, otherwise it's just an endless parade of simpering Harzoos, her lusting after Daario, and far too little dragon action. I know this is because GRRM had a huge dilemma on his hands with the various characters' storylines being at different points in time, so her sojourn in Meereen has gone on for about 2 books too long.

I really liked her story early on too. I'm hoping it picks up by the next book because this last one had me wandering off in some of the draggy parts.

ITA but her last chapter in ADWD was really promising... I'm sure it's going to pick up now that she's about to either join up with the Dothraki or waste them all in a huge flameball.

Are there any passages where Grey Worm looks enviously at Barristan's draggy parts?

No, and there's no romance with the Worm and Missandei either (especially considering BookMissandei is about 10 years old).
