I love all the movies everyone has mention so far (except A Christmas Story, don't find it funny at all). Love Actually is a good one too.

Miracle on 34th Street with Natalie Wood is my all time favorite Christmas movie

    A Christmas Story
    It's a Wonderful Life
    Elf
    The Ref
A Christmas Carol ( I love the Scrooged version)

And of course all the animation ones:

The Year without a Santa Clause
    Rudolph
    Frosty
Santa Claus is comin to Town
The Grinch (I like Jim Carrey's version too)

Wizard of Oz isn't a Christmas movie but it's fun to watch around the holidays
If you can't be a good example -- then you'll just have to be a horrible warning

I also like the Scrooged version of christmas carol, the musical with albert finney in it. I used to listen to those songs all the time when I was younger (thank you very much, thank you very much.....)

    A Wonderful Life and Rudolph.

Though my secret favorite is Le Pere Noel Est Une Ordure (Santa Clause is a Swine/Trash). A French cult classic -the original Mixed Nuts. I laugh too hard and too much that it hurts.

Not for children, very bawdy, completely outrageous.

    Here, just for you:
Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse.

'Friday after Next' not really a christmas movie per se but set in that time period. One of THE funniest movies I've ever seen, especially the last 10 minutes or so. When I first saw it, that last part I found so funny I was choking and couldn't breathe.

I like both versions of the Grinch. Love Christmas Vacation - it's just non-stop. The squirrel in the Christmas tree, the cat that got electrocuted...

A Charlie Brown Christmas kind of depresses me for some unknown reason.

Also like all those old specials like Rudolph - what WERE those things? I mean, was it like claymation all that stop & pose business, with dolls? Anyway, those are all good. Like the one with the Heat Miser

Yes, Charlie Brown Christmas is a bit depressing. I suppose its the tone of the voices, and he always gets made fun of. Have you seen the movie The Negotiator? I thought it was funny where one guy was like "Why do you always pick on me, who am I Charlie Brown?"

I really dislike Christmas movies. The only one I actually watch is A Year Without a Santa Claus (That's the one with the HeatMiser)

I'll have to check out the Heat Miser.

I tend to like anti-Christmas movies, not the ones all goopy with false sentiment and goodwill toward men. There are parts of A Wonderful Life that I love because they are funny -- the pool scene is priceless -- and because the movie isn't all sickly sweet. I also like Ingmar Bergman's Fanny and Alexander. There are some great Christmas moments in that film.
