What is the story on Sandra Dee (I mean Lee's) childhood?

Like to watch Nigella Lawson and Giada, although when I make Giada's recipes, they're altered to be on the cheap.

I absolutely love Curtis Stone and Jamie Oliver!!

Basically by age 10 or 11 she was in charge of her siblings. Even had to handle the finances,as her mother was very depressed(she may have done away with herself)She grocery shopped & cooked for all. Then, their dad came & took them(her siblings) away . She was sent to live with a Grandfather she'd never even seen! I notice now her siblings adore her & help her with all of her stuff. She really has done an outstanding job, overcoming everything. I now look at her tablescapes with a different eye!
