I warn you-it can be very hard to watch!

It's also madly addictive. We got the first season and just started watching them back to back and the next thing we knew it was 4 AM.

So I read in EW that a significant cast member will be killed in the first half of the season! Anyone got any inside dirt on this one?

Please let it be Rita. I can't stand her.

How awesome would that be if the Trinity killer got her? But then Dexter would have a hell of a time with his serial killing being a single dad to three kids.

I kind of have a feeling it will be Angel or LaGuerta. Seems like they're trying to weight their characters to be more significant now. Plus LaGuerta was killed in book 1, so she isn't exactly necessary for the story to progress <---Book spoiler

I'm reading the latest book now. It's good, so far. Seems like the author realized the stupid supernatural spin he took last book was not what the readers wanted. Dark Passenger doesn't need a supernatural explanation, serial killers aren't only for ghost stories.

One person who likely isn't killed is Rita, Julie Benz has been posting Twitter updates about filming the entire time they were shooting this season, she posted another one today. Could be flashback stuff though, of course.

I didn't mind the supernatural bit in that book. I just let it wash over and took it more as Dexter's subconscious vision of himself than as a literal ancient evil personality inhabiting him.

For me it was just such a turnoff for the series. I almost didn't start reading the current book, and mostly only did because someone gave me a copy after they finished reading it telling me it was good. I felt like he was trying to take the series in a completely different direction and I was not a fan of it.

OK, I just found a spoiler for who is going to die. It seems legit, so do not highlight unless you really want to know.

Regarding the Dexter "main character" death...I know that someone VERY CLOSE to both Dexter and Michael C Hall (could it be more obvious?) will be shot. But it's actually the person she is with at the time who will be the goner. He's a character who returned this season... I got it from Watch w/Kristin on E online, and that stuff is usually right.
