This show sucks cock now. The first season was great, then something happened. I cannot take it seriously at all now. its just a big joke. wth happened to mark cherry?
I can't get invested in characters when its so jokey and far fetched. I watched about five seconds of it the other night and had to turn the channel.

Why did I bother?
I haven't watched it since my friend made an appearance on it (had to watch it). I like the actress from China Beach so I thought why not. They gave Lynette breast cancer? No thanks. I'm done with looking at cancer and chemo for the rest of the year. I'm ticked off. That's way too real for me when it's supposed to be an off beat kind of show.

Yea, Lynette's cancer is too melodramatic. It was like after Felicity started getting so much praise, they decided Lynette needed serious, dramatic storylines (getting shot, cheating on Tom, cancer) to showcase Felicity's great acting. The new Lynette storylines just don't work in the context of the show.

I'm surprised this show is still on air. Surely it should end soon...and then we no longer have to see Eva.

I still watch it, but I always get bored mid season. I'm really sick of Eva's character, whore.

I'm sick of Susan constantly embarrassing herself with physical comedy, like falling down, or getting herself into some ridiculous and awkward situation. It happens several times in every episode and it's getting old.
I'm also tired of Lynette's character being so sappy and dramatic and I want her to go back to the funny, smartass, stressed out soccer mom that she was when the show started.
And one more thing- the serial cheating is getting old. It's hard to root for couples anymore because it's so inevitable that they'll break up, and I'm tired of the way their constant infidelity is glamorized.

So... thoughts about tonight's episode?
I was disappointed. Bree did have some great lines though ("Tattooed people make me uncomfortable.").
The Lynette Situation: I thought they had made references to Lynette's house having a basement in previous episodes but I could be wrong. But anyway, she invites herself over to the McCluskeys and then has the nerve to throw a shit fit because she wants to put Ida's cat upstairs, where it would probably be killed, since Tom is allergic to it?!? Karen was right on when she told her that she'd invited herself over and if she didn't like the accommodations she could leave. Also, where was Kayla?
Susan and Mike: I'm really bored with them. The Mike character has really changed for the worse and now he's just another drug-addicted thug. Also, they need to start getting more creative with the storylines. They've already done the "pregnant woman falls down the stairs" bit with Gabrielle.
Adam and Katherine: This whole affair storyline was ridiculous and unnecessary. Unless there was really something more serious going on (like, this chick is involved in the Dylan situation) that they didn't tell Bree, it was a waste of airtime. They made all these references to revealing the Mayfairs' secret and THIS is what they give us? Unacceptable.
Victor: I'm not liking the way that they suddenly decided (within the past 2 episodes) to make Victor into some sort of psychopath so that Carlos could be portrayed as a hero again. Victor seemed like a great guy who was actually crazy about Gabby, but then when the writers realize he's a threat to the Gabby/Carlos relationship, they basically rewrite the character into this controlling, scary, asshole. The way he died was cheesy and ridiculous. They could have come up with something a lot more believable than being impaled by a picket fence. Come on.

Lynette: I'm tired of crappy things happening to her, but I sort of wish it had been Tom who was killed. He's a whiner and a crybaby and I can't stand him. I love Felicity Huffman, but the Lynette character is obnoxious sometimes. And don't get me started on her kids and the way she enables them.
Bree: She's nuts but I love her. She always gets the best lines.
Susan and Mike: They should have blown away, too. Susan is annoying and stupid. It was cute in the first season; not so much now. I hate that all of a sudden, Mike's an asshole. It just seems so out of left field.
Adam and Katherine: Meh. They bore me. I don't care about his affair and I don't care about their big secret concerning Dylan.
Victor: I agree with ^^. He was nuts about Gabby and now he's psycho?
Edie: I like her. She's nuts, too, but she stays in character, unlike Mike and Victor.
Gablos: I love Carlos. I like Gabby, too. Like Edie, you know what you're getting with her.
I was afraid that McCluskey was going to die last night, but think it must be Ida who is offed.
The whole episode bothered me. It just wrapped up a lot things a little too conveniently (if a tornado can ever be convenient). Crazy husband? Impale him! Important papers? Blow them away! Psycho ex-lover? Suck her into the sky! I know this show is campy and over the top, but last night's episode was just kind of dumb.

And that's BS, too, because Ida isn't a "friend" like it laid out in the beginning of the episode. And, they offed the psycho stalker lady too early, she could have been good a few more episodes.
Susan & Mike=snooze
Bree & Orson=Love 'em. I'm glad they didn't kill him off. He's perfect for Bree.
Tom has turned into the modern American wussy. I miss the days Lynette only had to deal with her kids running ragged. Now, she's all serious drama.
I love Carlos. I really disliked Gabby through the pregnancy/miscarriage. "I want kids, I don't want kids..." I'm ok with her now.
Again with Edie, what you see is what you get.
The Mayfairs, blah. The gay couple are more interesting than them.

^^^ Which where have they been? Are you safe from tornados if you're gay? They could've skipped Susan falling down and had them bunked up during the storm. That would've been better-ish.
They ruined it when they killed Victor off so fast and them losing the money. I bet my left nut (if I had any), that since he dies and it is an accident and Gabby and him were still legally married, she will get all his money and her and Carlos will live superficially happy. So the whole "Oh no, they lost the papers to the money" is pointless.

I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed by that episode, I expected Victor to die but I thought that Tom might as well, but I guess Lynette has been through enough crap. Bree is my favourite character by far, she's hilarious.
I liked the irony of Victor being impaled by a picket fence post, thought it was quite amusing and gets Carlos and Gaby off the hook nicely.
Love Adam and Katherine, but their secret was ridiculous. How is that juicy in the slightest when it comes to this show? Nathan Fillion is gorgeous, I'd like to eat him for breakfast.
Soooo was this the season finale?

The special effects showing the actual funnel cloud were beyond cheesy. I could've done that on my MAC computer. The previews that say "someone's husband will die" - well you knew it wasn't going to be a major character. C'mon we're not idiots.

Is that all you guys like to do, pick out problems? Is that why you watch telly?
Special FX aside, it was the acting and characters that made that entire tornado episode absolutely nerve-wracking. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!
God Felicity Huffman is a great actor. Fucken hell why didn't she win that fucken Oscar!? Her screaming and rushing through the rubble at the end (which shocked me) was very moving, I'd say every season she seems to have a 'moment' where she outdoes herself. Last year it was standing up to the gun-woman, this year it was the tornado ep.
Loved it. Would have preferred to see more destruction, but what can ya do. They did well for a TV show.
Oh, and in my opinion, this is the best shape the show has ever been in... period.

A new episode will be on tonight at 9/8 central. I've gotten to the point where I almost don't even care if I watch or not because the show has gotten so ridiculous. I'm tired of the way they've replaced dark comedy and a group ensemble with dramatic, unrealistic, soap-opera style garbage revolving primarily around Lynette.
