Lynnie, I wondered if you'd gotten to watch! I agree that we need to see a drunk Sue Ellen soon, but I figure that's coming. I know the idea of the show is to focus on the next generation and that J.R., Bobby, and Sue Ellen are just supposed to be supporting players, but I think that's going to change when they realize that people are watching specifically to see them.

I think the episode this Wednesday is when Cliffy baby comes back. I hope he brings Pam with him.

Has Victoria Principal showed interest in coming back? I guess I stopped watching the original before it ended but why are Bobby and Pam not together?

Edit: Well if I would have read back in the thread my question was already asked and answered.

Pam left before the end of the series after she was disfigured in that car wreck where she hit a tanker truck and it blew up. She didn't want Bobby and Christopher to see her that way was her reason I think. Another actress played her for one episode in a later season and she said then that she was terminally ill and only had one year to live, but they've never said she was dead on the show, so it's possible for the character to come back. I've read where the door is open for VP to play Pam again and that they're discussing it. I hope so, because I loved watching her and J.R. spar.

I watched it and liked it. Lynnie's on about the nursing home. JR would never be in a home. They have to incorporate the noobs. I'm not really going to buy a bunch on seniors trying to build the company and backstabbing.

Jordana Brewster has some serious wonk eye in this. I swear one's bigger than the other.

Episode 3 reminder for tonight for anyone interested! Expected to be the return of Cliff Barnes and renewal of the Ewing-Barnes feud.

YES! Cliff Barnes! Always had a soft place in my heart for that loser....

Missing Miss Ellie, Pamela, and the character that Howard Keel played....Clayton? Damn, cannot believe I forgot it. And Jock, but I always thought Dallas was able to go on w/o him---never missing a beat, but he was a cool dude.

    I'll be watching tonight!

Clayton Farlow! Yeah, too bad he and Miss Ellie are both dead now, but I hold out hope that Pam will come back.

I follow Ken Kerchevial (sp?) on Twitter, so he's been extra active recently with this whole thing. He has tweeted several interesting versions of the opening theme song/credits the last few days---extended versions. To show everyone that was ever a real 'character' on the show. It was interesting and sad too. Like Dack Rambo, Kristin who shot JR, etc. It was neat. If I was smart enough to embed, I would.

I just went and took a look at some of those and love that they included a shot of Lucy passionately kissing Ray before she realized that he was her uncle. Their lurve before realizing that Ray was her daddy's brother still cracks me up for some reason.

I am so ready for tonight's episode. I don't watch too much scripted tv (I have this weakness for white trash and trainwrecks), but Dallas is my shit!

I love the new Dallas. And I still love JR. I used to watch it as a kid and that's how I became a Cowboys fan back in the day by seeing Texas Stadium in the opening credits. Who is Bobby's wife? I can't remember her from the original show.

Ann somebody or another. She wasn't on the original show, she's just some placeholder until Pam (and maybe Jenna Wade) comes back and wreaks havoc on Bobby's personal life.

    They need Kristin back.
