Had she "hopped upon the Cruise" (omg! ) at the time she did Batman Begins? Or did that come later during the release? I remember seeing her in that and she was so stiff and awkward. I also saw her in Thank You For Smoking, and she was tolerable at best, but in no way believable as a smart journalist. I never saw Dawson's Creek just because I refused to endure that guy's fourteenhead for an hour. I thought maybe her acting powers had been zapped away by Co$ and Crui$e, but if she's been this bad her whole career, I can see why she signed the contract.

I love this for it's very obvious dig at Tiny Tom and The Church of $
“Holmes, with Alice Cooper hair and crazy Jim Carrey eyes, looks terrible and acts worse, unless this movie is unintentionally a lobotomy documentary,” the reviewer writes. “Whatever could have happened to her in the last couple of years to zap the talent out of her like this?”

ITA. There's no way she would have been offered to return to that role after that completely craptastic performance.

I'm pretty sure she filmed Batman Begins before she hooked up with Cruise, but the film came out at the same time as his War of the Worlds, not too long after their relationship went public.
So I guess it's safe to assume her acting was already craptastic before she met him. I never watched Dawson's Creek and only remember her playing the spoiled rich slut in The Gift. But she was a floating corpse in half that movie, so it was hard to judge her "talent."

That is a serious amount of slap on her face. Why all the makeup?

This writer better watch out. The Co$ will certainly pay a visit for comments like this.

He is probably going to get a lobotomy for free (and without painkillers but with a lot of vitamines)

She was pretty good in Pieces of April I thought. I never watched Dawson's Creek. I agree she was no good in Batman Begins. I think she's got no range, so maybe she's only good when she's playing herself more or less.
Although I have to say in the trailers I have seen of Mad Money it's relieving to see her crack a smile and looking her age, as opposed to all these photo ops in the Tom Cruise charade that has become her life.

I kind of liked her character in the movie Wonderboys. But that didn't exactly look like a difficult role to play, aside from simpering over Michael Douglas.

I'm the opposite. Aesthetically, I think she's the prettiest she's ever been now. Not impressed before, with her snaggletooth and her limp hair. She could have passed for an average girl next door, but I've seen better looking at the mall. Now, she's pretty, I think. But it doesn't even matter because she has ZERO personality left! My God, I would have preferred her before, she is in a constant daze now, she looks lobotomized. I actually feel bad for her. For a second, that is, until I realize that she signed a contract for some major cash and this is what she gets. She's like a robot.

America Hates Katie Holmes
Filed under: Avril Lavigne > Katherine Heigl
Being associate with overzealous Scientologist Tom Cruise has affected Katie Holmes' perception with American movie-going audiences.
The former sweet and normal girl next door's new movie, Mad Movie, is BOMBING at the box office in the U.S. this movie.
Holmes' "comeback" is proving to be anything but. Reviewers have savaged her performance in the film, and the movie is projected to make an extremely disappointing $6 - 7 Million for the Friday - Sunday weekend
