Yes, but there's a difference between being inspired by other music and lifting entire melodic lines and putting them into your own. I've played The Planets and music from Star Wars on the same concert before (not that uncommon since Star Wars music has been compiled into a crowd-pleasing suite and conductors like to put the 2 up for comparison), I pretty much only had to practice one of the two pieces.

James Horner is irritates me a little only b/c when you listen to the soundtracks to his movies it's just one piece duplicated 13 times, they all sound the same.

Oh that movie and soundtrack move me so much. I was dating a stone cold sociopath when we saw it together. I think that was the first time he actually felt anything. He left me at the door saying "I would find you." It would have been very romantic had I not known that he was a nut.

    But I love the soundtrack.

^^^^ha ha Picara! Sorry, don't mean to laugh about the sociopath but the way you worded your experience with him cracked me up. I know the type so I feel for you.

I'm going to add the soundtrack to The Mission. That movie just kills me.

    Oh my, I'm still laughing.

I knew a guy in high school who was a bit Corky, and his fave song was that stupid Dangerzone track from Top Gun.. he'd play it over and over, and over.. and it was bloody 1996!
