Haha, yes she can. Filling in for Pavarotti ten or so years ago proved that. Aretha may be morbidly obese and not terribly glamourous, but she has the greatest voice ever. I'd sell my soul to have her range, lol.

Don't get me wrong I am a HUGE Aretha Franklin fan, and know her qualities..Aretha is Awesome!! However, I am enamored by a woman who can do what she just did at 68... 68 who is awesome in every way...but 68!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Yeah, that was her. She's aging pretty badly....I think she abused drugs for a protracted length of time in her 20s though. I thought she hit one note exceptionally well, though, and she sang better than I expected her to.
