Is there any way to create a different set of preferences / suggestions / queues? My brother latched onto my account and he watches shit of his own choosing on his Xbox back home.. and, consequently, I have all these anime shows, stoner movies, and testosterone-heavy action flicks in my suggestions.

The only thing you can do is rate all those movies one star and when suggested ones pop up click not interested.

Yeah, you can have your own disc queue. But as far as I know only the holder of the account can have an instant watch queue. That could have changed since the last time I watched an instant watch.

Ah, I didn't think of that! Thanks.

Well, he watches it as if it's me.. signed into my account. I didn't know you could create separate account identities? But I told him about the disc queue.. we'd just have to take turns getting DVDs.

I got an email yesterday saying they were splitting my streaming and DVD accounts into two separate billing plans starting Sept 1st. I take full responsibility for jinxing it with the necroing of this thread. Bastards.

I got that email too and I'm pissed off. Two increases in a year is fucked up.

Same here & Mr. Holly is so pissed that he said we're cancelling on 9/1. Fine with me. We don't use it that much anyway.

Mine is only going up $4, it went up $2 last time. I may give up streaming since I use it so rarely.

I canceled streaming. Hell I can't get it to work with my shitty internet service anyway so I'm saving money.

I can't decide if I want to stick with DVDs or streaming. The only appeal of DVDs is being able to watch shit unavailable on streaming.. but other than that, I think I'm switching over to just streaming. I know it's only $15 bucks a month--which isn't that much more than I'm paying now--but, based on moral principle alone, this sucks and I'm going to spite them by refusing to pay the extra 7 or 8 bucks. Having said that, got into Parks and Rec on netflix this past weekend. Loving it.

I would totally go with streaming if it were possible for me but as I live in a seriously rural area my internet option is slow as molasses but I do like being able to get 3 movies at a time.

I got this e-mail yesterday and I'm pretty pissed about it, I use the DVD delivery A LOT and I use the streaming just as much.

The ONLY reason why I use the DVD delivery is because they don't put everything up to stream - or they'll have something on instant stream and then they randomly take it down (which is also infuriating). So, if they were going to put everything on instant play, I'd be willing to pay $15 a month, but since that's not what they're going to do, I'll be cancelling my subscription.

Edit: I also had a chuckle when I got the e-mail because it was shortly after I was reading through this thread yesterday!

Same here, going to cancel streaming come September. Check out their FB page - people are PISSED. Some guy said he hopes the CEO burns in hell, which is a bit extreme over a price hike of something so non-essential, but I get the ire over 2 price hikes in a year. I blame it on Hollywood, also, though. No doubt they're charging Netflix all they can for movie rights; seeing as how so many people aren't going to the movies anymore, HW is prob losing a fuckton of moolah...
