same thing happened to me. I live in CA, and we get the show later than the East Coast. i didnt realize it was already on in the East, and came in here and saw who got voted off.

I despise her voice, and I haven't heard her sing anything 'different'. It's a shame she didn't get voted off, looks like I'll be needing the cotton wool in my ears again this week.

I absolutely adore David Archuletta. I said it earlier upthread, but he reminds me so much of my nephew so perhaps that's why I feel a special attachment to him. Of course, his voice is amazing. However, because of his age, I would be worried for him getting into the professional side of the entertainment industry. They may just eat him alive~

^He's a cutie. But he needs to stop singing sad songs that have me in tears every time. He's already getting a taste for fame ; apparently he went out taking pictures of the paparazzi as they were taking pictures of him.
I really like Jason Castro. Generally guys with long hair don't appeal to me, but he has won me over with his fantastic smile.

I think Jason is a great performer as well. There is something soulful about his presentations. It doesn't hurt that he's a cutie to boot. He is from the Dallas area so people around here are really rooting for him to succeed.

I'd love for Jason to win. David Archuletta is going to get a recording contract, no doubt, whether he wins or not. He's cute, he's young and his voice is incredible. Someone is going to snap that up.

I think Incubus did a version of "Hello" similar to David Cook, so it was not an original arrangement he did.

That's interesting if they did, I haven't heard an Incubus version of that song. He really is Daughtry 2.0 if he did that. That was what I hated about Daughtry, he'd pick songs from the category that another rock band had already done a cover of and then perform it in the style of that cover. They were usually more obscure covers so people didn't always catch on to it.

Sounds like when Chris Daughtry sang Live's version of "I Walk the Line". They pretty much did a PSA on it the following week. If Incubus has a version..we'll hear about it next week and they'll sing with David on the final show...just like Live.

Hello performed by Incubus
Unfortunately this is the closest version to David Cook's version I could find, and there is some guy giving himself an aneurysm screaming MIKEY MIKEY when the guitar solo starts.

Amanda needs to go! It bugs that she doesn't want to be there and is taking a spot from someone else who genuinely wants the AI title. She's the worst singer of the bunch anway.
They should just forfeit the season. David A. so has this in the bag. I can't wait to see what he delivers during Beatles night next week. Rest assured it won't be a "gloomy" ballad. I'd love to see him change it up and do "Get Back", "Twist and Shout" or "Ob-la'di". He'll definitely get the better song of the group as The Chosen One.

Not necessarily. In Aussie Idol 2004 we had the token cutie Anthony Callea who could really sing.......
YouTube - The Prayer by Anthony Callea of Australian Idol in 2004
He's had a pretty solid career ever since - nothing stellar but he's doing OK.
In the grand final he lost to Casey Donnovan whose "career" has been a big fat zero (can you work out why?) ever since.
