American Idol winner David Cook will reportedly set a U.S. record when 11 of his songs debut on Billboard's Hot 100 today. This feat will top the previous record set by Miley Cyrus in 2006. Her record was six songs. These two should totally start a new series of dance war videos on YouTube. Except, instead of dancing, Cook will nod at the camera like it's lucky to be filming him.
However, Cookie will not hit #1. The orignal song he sang on Idol, "The Time Of My Life", will debut in the #3 position. But it will take the winning position on the Hot Digital Songs list.
Former bartender Cook's record-setting debut is the biggest song incursion since Nielsen began tracking the charts in 1991. The Beatles still hold the record for the most songs on the chart in any one week. They had 14 hits on the Hot 100 in 1964. But Gookie Cookie now has the record for debuts in one week. Somewhere, someone who gives a shit about Billboard chart placement is printing out this article and pasting it to a wall. He lives in a basement with stacks of Billboard magazines and Rolling Stones around him like a topiary maze. And his cat was lost in them several months ago and he still hasn't bothered to look for her. His name? Jeff Archuleta.

in the beginning, right after the finale its been like that for at least the last couple of seasons. then they go their separate ways.

Thanks, i was just surprised to see Cook and Archuleta just about everywhere together. They must be soooo sick of the same questions every time they're interviewed too.

Just got home from the American Idol 'concert'. i won the tickets, so i figured hey! why not.
it was actually fun. they were all good, except KRisty Lee Cook. she sucked so bad, everyone sat down while she was singing. she danced around like she was on a stripper pole.
i also met Carly's tattooed face hubby. he just happened to be standing by me during intermission. he's nice.
i definitely wouldn't have paid for this, but it was a lot of fun. Even Brooke wasnt so bad.

little Ramielle was actually not so bad. i am thinking if she'd have sung like that on the show, she would have stood a better chance.

Thanks for the feedback on the concert. I'm going to the Toronto concert on July 26th. It's interesting that you weren't impressed with Kristy Lee because in most recaps I've read at other boards, many were surprised by how good she was. Apparently in one newspaper review, the author dared to say she 'stole the show' (in San Diego, I think). The only bad reviews I've read on anyone have gone to Ramielle.

I'm most anxious to see the two Davids and Michael Johns. I've heard that Archies set is unbelievable!

Kristy Lee Cook was hell bent on dancing like a skeez. she shook her ass to the audience, she reminded me of a pole dancer.

i disagree with the Vegas review. The biggest talent of the night, the one that got the biggest screams, was Michael Johns. Just awesome! i loved David A during the season, but i found him to be almost boring during the show. they mostly sang songs from the show, some changed it up a bit.

Ugh kristy lee irritates me. Its like she's sexing it up because thats the only thing she can do. She doesn't seem to be very popular. Although, everything they wear in concert, they didn't choose.
