I finally figured out who DC reminds me of when he sings in his head voice. It's a little more obscure, so not everyone will know who I'm talking about, but he sounds like Adam Pascal, the actor who played Roger in Rent (both original cast and the movie). It's been driving me crazy this whole season.

I think it comes down to personal preference for the two Davids.
For me,Cook is a more well rounded musician,as evidenced by his song choices.I get the progression thing.
I'm not into Archuleta's type of music,so to me,it was just one long song,no difference.I feel bad for him,I don't think he's ready for what's going to happen when he wins.I hope he grows into something and diversifies,because the tween market is fickle.And his aw shucks attitude will be eaten up alive by the music industry.
Oh and get away from Dad.

That being said,can't wait til the obligations are over and Cook gets to do his own thing.

i think David A was much better than Cook tonite. and i HATE andrew lloyd Webber with a passion. snobby asshole

For me David C was the best as he did show us something different and did not take the easy way out by singing Billie Jean.

I agree with his comments about moving forward and not singing the same songs.

I stopped watching the season Daughtry got kicked off and only started watching after a friend played me Cook's version of "Hello".

I was wondering the same - why were the judges, especially Simon , being so hard on David C. David C sang well and musically he did offer something different. Tonight it became very obvious that the judges adore David A.

I like both Davids, but am rooting more for Arch. Cook may have an "edgier" sound, but to me he sounds just like a lot of other rock stars. It's the generic rock star voice.

Arch has a beautiful, unique voice that is timeless imo. It will carry him a lot farther career wise. Even if he does end up doing soundtracks like Kenny Loggins.

Yup, we watched it and both my daughter & I couldn't believe how they were just hammering David Cook, and being sooooo adoring of David Archuleta. We thought Cook did great.

Simon was on Jay Leno the other night and Jay asked him who he thought should win and Simon saidf he thought David Cook has more talent (or some statement like that....anyway he said David Cook). It came off sounding like Simon wanted Cook to win, but on the finale it was completely the opposite. I felt so bad for David Cook, he has to hear the judges rip him up, then kiss ass to Archuleta.

When it comes down to it, Cook will have a contract no matter what. He's another Chris Daughtry.

American Idol: It Finally Ends Tonight

I can see the light. The end is here. We still have to sit through 50-hours of the finale show tonight, but then it's done. FOREVER! Well, until the fall when the next season starts. At this point, it doesn't matter which one of these drips wins. I had to down several Airbone and vodkas just to keep from drifting off into a Paula Abdul coma. These two wet bitches are so fucking boring! Both of them could be the new faces of Nytol. If you didn't watch the show, don't bother. Instead, pour yourself a bowl of Rice Krispies in milk and listen to it snap, crackle AND pop. You'll get a better show.
DialIdol.com predicts that David Cook will win tonight. I still think that Fetus Archuleta is going to take it. The judges are so far up his asshole that they probably know in detail what his organs looks like. Randy Jackson basically gave Archuleta handjob after handjob last night. Archuleta would have cum, but I don't think he's capable of doing that. Shit, I don't think he's fully developed yet. His daddy better make sure he's doubled up on the diapers tonight. When they announce him as the winner, he'll probably wet his pants. He can't help it, because he can't hold it!
David Cook seems like he's over this shit and I don't blame him. I secretly hope he wins, but he won't. The producers and judges have already decided Archuleta needs to win. It's their gift to all the pedos that watch this mess.
The only way I can deal with tonight's long ass finale is if Paula Abdul is in top form. Bring on the crazy Paula! The country needs you!
And what was up with the boxing theme last night? G-A-Y! They might as well have done an oil wrestling theme.

^^ ITA Randy was so far up Arch's ass I'm surprised he could see or hear anything else. I've always liked Randy but last night I could've punched his lights out for being so blatantly obvious on who his pick is.

I believe DialIdol's numbers, they haven't been wrong very frequently, and there is a really clear winner with their numbers even with the margin of error.

To me, if Cook doesn't win, it'll be painfully obvious that they mess with the numbers and the votes don't really count. With that big of a difference it's a pretty safe prediction.

I also tried to vote for Cook last night and wasn't able to get through once, on any of his numbers, even towards the end of the 4 hours.

I guess they're saying that 'cause there is a fix conspiracy about Archuleta.
