Ya know, I'd love to know how to pronounce Ramiele's name. I've heard it pronounced at least 3 different ways by various people on the shows, and sometimes differently by the same person (*cough* Ryan *cough*)

Not only did she try to make it and fail, she was signed with MCA WHILE Randy Jackson was senior VP.

When the series first started I was under the impression that anyone who had been signed by a record company could not enter.

Plus, not sure if Michael Johns should be there- he is not undiscovered talent.

I cant believe Robbie dated Britney, that is hilarous.

Once Robbie's secret about his hair was ousted there was no chance he would survive Idol.

I was glad to see Alaina go. She was obviously shocked that America's not as in love with her as she is with herself. She's been my least favorite from the beginning because no matter how good her performances were, I couldn't get over her "I've got this in the bag" attitude. She acted like she thought she was the coolest thing to ever hit the face of the earth and I think Simon pegged her straight on- "you're not as good as you think you are." You have to be likable to make it in this competition, and Alaina wasn't.

Me too. Wasn't there a guy who had to drop out of the competition a couple of years ago because he'd had a previous record contract? Maybe it was from Australian Idol. Can't remember.

If they have dropped this rule then I'm sure it's because the 'talent pool' out there is getting smaller. This has been running for a few years now so I'm guessing they are having to scrape the barrel. I also note that a few contestants now are 'rejects' from previous AI auditions. Maybe they have improved, but I reckon they have lowered the bar so they can attract enough people.

What I find funny is that when I first saw this guy on Idol, i thought he looked like Justin Timberlake and then Ryan Seacrest said it.

Yes, in the first series of Australian Idol there was a blonde guy who was evicted because he previously had a record contract. He made the top 24 but once the news broke he was booted.
