I was wondering what was with Paula. It was weird.

Was Ryan pissed off about the hair comment Simon made? At the end of the show he thanked Paula and Randy but didn't even mention Simon.

Hahaha, i love Simon.

My favourites are the little 16 year old and Michael Johns.
My Mum reckons the guy with the dreadlocks (sorry, i suck at remembering names) looks like young John Travolta. Anyone else see it?

Crybaby was on Ellen the other day. I feel sorry for him, he was a little cutie and lived in his car. I was hoping he'd get somewhere. But his voice wasn't really anything special.

Ramiele Malubay has got my vote. I think she has a lovely voice, I enjoy her performances, and think she is very cute. Hopefully, she makes it far.

You know-I sort of can-he does have vivid blue eyes. That hair is distracting-hopefully they will talk him into a more polished look.

I'm getting major polyester hair vibes from American Idol's Robbie Carrico. There's something not right there. I was waiting for Paula Abdul to ask him where he gets his wigs last night, because I know her crazy ass was eyeing it. I'm only watching this crap, because I can't wait for the night his wig falls off during his awful rendition of some 80s rock song. He also pulls the Bret Michaels trick of wearing a bandanna over his wig.

I actually won't watch this season, which kinda makes me sad. It's because most of the top 24 are implants who have already tried to make it and failed. Like Carly Smithson, or whatever her name is. She had millions spent on her, marketing her music. She had 2 cds out, and both failed miserably. I don't think she deserves to be placed in Idol. I thought the original premise for this show was to find untapped talent across the U.S. They shouldn't have even bothered hosting tryouts, since no one stood a chance of even making it in the top 24. Sadly, that was already decided before the show even began.

I confess I'm a secret AI watcher too. This is on in Australia too and we are more or less up to date with you guys in the US! The joy of cable TV. I saw the girls yesterday (?) and none of them really shone. Ramiele is very cute and can belt out songs but it's a bit contrived and karaoke. Most of the guys are total losers and can't sing at all. I agree with Simon, in the whole competition, David Thingy ("Imagine") is the one to beat and I don't think anyone will. Michael Johns is arrogant and the judges early comments about his 'charisma' have totally gone to his head.

I was hoping for bettter,too. They do keep screwing up song choices & the off notes last night hit a new record! Say what you will-Simon is usually right!

I know! I liked her in the beginning but last night. WTF?!

I think there needs to be some sort of rule- like, if you've been signed to a record company or had CDs out, you're not eligible. Carly Smithson should NOT be there.

Not only did she try to make it and fail, she was signed with MCA WHILE Randy Jackson was senior VP.
