Carol Bayer(?) Sager who used to be or still is married to Burt Bacharach and is his writing partner. I may have the name screwed up....but hey it's the thought that counts, right?

You're welcome! Although I think Carol actually has an "e" on the end...

The first guy that auditioned (ian benardo, he auditioned for so you think you can dance too) that sang Gloria and then went off on Simon has a myspace.

Big surprise, he's a "performance artist" and obviously playing a character to get on the fox shows...

I loved Opera Girl because she actually did serve up 3 completely different styles and nailed them. (imho, I can't sing fershit) I thought her Jeff Buckley song was dope.

That was funny, Simon said "all of you are going to Hollywood"
You know, as much of an ass that Simon is, I don't like it when they judge without him. It's just not the same.

that was funny, I laughed. Without him the show wouldn't be the same, he makes it a guilty pleasure.

I have noticed sometimes they try and make Simon look like a bad guy, like when that guy that sounded like a woman - the judges should have said "no" and moved on, but Paula kept babbling and babbling and Simon made the comment that there are others waiting and she goes off on him. She is no where near professional - and the way she gets the googly eyes when the good looking guys come in. Lord, she was practically drooling on the 16 year old kid.
..and you know who I felt bad for?? That girl that sang "Dancing in the Streets". She was so bubbly and sweet and when she didn't make it, she was so terribly sad and crying....awwww, poor thing.

She was the chubby black girl with glasses and ringlets in her hair.
She turned back at them when she was leaving and said people were counting on her - she had to make it to Hollywood. The judges all looked so sad for her, too

Wow, what was that all about with the girl Ashanti? That was SO staged. All that soap opera melodrama. Holy crap.

Aw, that girl. The hyper one with boundless energy. Then she didn't make it & just deflated before our eyes. I felt sorry for her too.
