Beginning to really hate AI because it's very difficult to sound great when you're singing completely accapella but with that kind of pressure it would nearly impossible. It's about as raw as it gets and not a true measure of if you can actually sing or not. |
One thing that made me chuckle about him is, he said his co-workers encouraged him to try out. I thought, "Wow, how much do they hate him?"

I'm glad they showed more good singers tonight, though I wasn't extremely impressed ... but I guess I never really pick someone in the beginning who I think will win it. I liked the backup singer a lot though. Simon's comment about Sundance blowing Taylor out of the water was soooo true though.

I missed the show, I had to go out- who was the person who could 'blow' from the commercials. Was it the dude with the beard and longish hair that got '1 million percent yes'? I wondered who that turned out to be.

The 1 million percent was Sundance - he has a goatee but not really long hair.
The guy who Randy said "I don't care what you look like but you can BLOW" was a guy with really looooong hair & a loooooong beard dressed like Fidel Castro. He did sound good but he had best let the stylists fix his wagon because his look is definitely NOT pop star material. He makes Clay Aiken look like Nick Lachey.
I'm still not in love with anybody. I'm being entertained, but I'm not really feeling it yet.

^^^ ITA with Lobelia. Nobody is really that great yet. I'm starting to get bored with all these bad singers... and there's still 2 more weeks of this. I just can't imagine anything will top the whole "bush baby" episode, as cruel as it was. I'm ready to see some talent.
