    *sniff, sniff*

I'm somewhat disheartened by the fact that certain things are set up ........ I'm way too naive.

I'm still a fan of Taylor ...... I can just picture myself sitting in a smoke-filled bar half blitzed watchin' him sing and "dance". It'd be great!

As for Chris .... I like him, I really do .... but I thought it was really, really unfair the way he had background effects, smoke, and all the hoopla for his performance last week. They damn near allowed him to put on his own rock concert. I don't recall seeing anyone else getting that kind of background support.

    Me too, girl!

About Chris, I see your point, but he's my favorite, so I won't complain.

Someone at work pointed out that he didn't really *do* Stevie Wonder, he did RHCP, while everyone else did Stevie. I dunno, it was a Stevie song, after all.

I'm middle-of-the-road about Taylor, actually. (That's right: actually.) And I see what everybody else sees: talent. But I'm not completely convinced that it isn't a bit of a put-on at times. I mean, Joe Cocker couldn't help it. Neither could Ray Charles. But Taylor? I suspect he grew up with those two as his favorite performers and unintentionally adopted their behaviors. Because, yeah, sometimes he's feelin' it and it doesn't look like a put-on. Other times, it does. (like when he's not singing...)

I think Ace is pretty, but he can't dance, and he CAN NOT command a stage the way Bo Bice did, or the way Chris does. Ace is a softie, not the total package.

My favorites: Mandisa and Lisa Tucker. I haven't found a guy yet that does it for me. I miss Bo!!!!

I miss Bo too. He's lost something too. When he was on the results show a few weeks ago it just wasn't the same. Maybe it was the shiny hair

I'm the same way. Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles are blind ... that's how their body naturally moves. It's like if you had never seen anyone dance/move and you had to get up and sing, you'd look like that.

But it's so obvious that he's just trying to do that. Like in the beginning of the show when they introduce everyone, he does that weird thing and he waits for the camera to come on him, then he does it. So stupid.

That right there is enough for me to dislike him. I'll be sad if he wins.

Ok, children, Mandisa looks GREAT tonight. She always sounds awesome, but her dress & makeup look beautiful!

I agree with Simon on her performance. It was very sexy, she totally blew it away tonight.

Well, her eyes look really bleary, but she's not slurring or acting silly, so I can't tell.

OK, usually a big Chris fan, but I am NOT liking his version of Walk the Line. Why mess with Johnny Cash and then arrange it outside of your vocal range in places?

^^^I loved it, NoDay. It wasn't very 50's, but I don't like 50's music anyway.

It just wasn't my thing. I love Johnny Cash though. I pulled out the Johnny Cash version during the commercial.
