Kenny was given a baby butt transplant to his face by Joan Rivers PS.

He used to look like a sexy rugged man, kind of like grizzly adams but not any more.

He actually had my jaw on the floor when I looked at him.

What happened to growing old gracefully?

    5 Ace Young
    6 Bucky Covington
    7 Paris Bennett

    9 Mandisa

According to the site, Elliott and Mandisa are in danger of being voted off, this does not include text votes. It's a statistics program for voting based on number of attempts and busy signals/completed votes. It's generally pretty accurate, although the last few weeks, the person in the 4th to last spot went, so I'd say Bucky's in trouble too.
wow...they are correct with the bottom 3....

I'm sad to see her go. Even with the religious stuff she was one of my favorites.

I honestly didn't think Mandisa would be the one to have to leave. I was hoping it was Paris..or that goonie Elliot

Well, her unashamed love for Christ totally endears her to me. It was courageous for her to be so open with it these days. Heck, I'm anonymous on this board & was afraid for the longest of being treated with derision & contempt for my beliefs, but finally realized that it's cowardly & shameful to hide them. Mandisa actually inspired me to put "Jesus Freak" under my name!

I love Mandisa as a performer, too, and would have rather parted with Bucky. She is undeniably a big girl, but also undeniably beautiful & sexy, and carries herself extremely well, so I'm sure she's an inspiration to many.

Here's the thing. To make it very clear, I don't have any problem with people who are religious, no matter what religion they are. I just have a belief that there are places where it is probably in the person's better interest to keep it to themselves (speaking as someone who belongs to a faith where revealing my religion can still create a bad situation for myself). Looking at the DialIdol results (which we can see are fairly accurate), she took a DIVE after she made that comment last week. From a pure PR perspective, making her beliefs and the strength of her faith public, she probaby alienated a good chunk of her voters fairly early in the competition. She probably would have fared better had she revealed that piece of information later in the season.

Does anyone know the name of the song they play when the contestants get voted off and it shows a flash back of their time on the show?

    DANIEL POWTER LYRICS

    "Bad Day"

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
    You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on

Cause you had a bad day
    You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
    You say you don't know
    You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
    You had a bad day
    The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
    You had a bad day
    You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

    You had a bad day
    You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
    You say you don't know
    You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
    You had a bad day
    The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
    You had a bad day

    (Oh.. Holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
    And I'm not wrong

So where is the passion when you need it the most
    Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
    You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
    You say you don't know
    You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
    You had a bad day
    You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
    You had a bad day
    You had a bad day

    Had a bad day
    Had a bad day
    Had a bad day
    Had a bad day
    Had a bad day

    Wow. Mandisa. Wow.

Mandisa spoke of her Christianity very early on. Maybe that hurt her, but I'm sure it was her last performance that did her in.

I agree. I knew she was going home tonight.

She talked about her beliefs when she forgave Simon ... no one made a big deal of it then, or at least that didn't prevent her from getting votes. She was just bad this week.

I won't really miss her. I do like that she is so committed to what she believes in. I know if I were in her place, it would be hard to be that brave. It immediately gives people another reason to dislike you. I think her voice was lacking in these past few weeks, and that's what sent her home.

Before she sang her song (not the video clip, she was on the stage), she said "This song goes out to everybody that wants to be free. Your addiction, lifestyle, and situation may be big, but God is bigger". Now, OK. The thing is, think about your audience. American Idol is the type of show that attracts probably a large amount of not-heterosexual viewers, and that tends to be deemed a "lifestyle choice". What that translates to that audience is "God can cure you of being gay" (not just my own translation, I've read it in multiple places online, plus I'm active in the LGBT/Allies community oncampus and that was their take on it too). I can definitely see that being an alienating factor.

Well, then it's a damned shame if it's to the point where a comment like that is assumed to be anti-gay. I don't know specifically what she meant, but people shouldn't put too much effort in reading between the lines & putting words in her mouth that she didn't say. I for one certainly did not interpret her statement to mean that at all. She didn't SAY it, so people shouldn't make leaps & rush to assume the worst.

Gay people do not have a trademark on the word "lifestyle." People use that word all the time with no reference to homosexuality at all. I'm sorry, I think this is so ridiculous & unfair! It's like they're just looking for an insult, and there are plenty of people out already there whose hateful, bigoted stance is crystal clear.

I've said this a hundred times, and I'll say it again. If you don't want to be stereotyped & negatively judged, then don't stereotype & negatively judge others. Just because the girl is a Christian, it doesn't mean she's negative toward homosexuals. She should be given the benefit of the doubt if it's unclear.
