You're absolutely right; she didn't deserve 9th place. She wasn't my favourite, but she has an incredible voice. Definitely top 3, though.

The good thing about Idol is that you don't necessarily have to WIN the competition to get a singing contract. She's had exposure and that's all she needed. This girl will be fine without having won Idol.

Pia has an amazing voice, but she was SO professional I really didn't get any emotion from her. Her stage presence was to inauthentic to me. I didn't like her even though I can appreciate her talent.

I thought she would last longer because she is clearly very talented, but I kind of laughed at the judges' indignation. There can be only one winner. Did they think she should win? Do they have them ranked in their heads as to who should go in which order? I felt bad for Stefano (even though he seems out of his depth with most of this group). He looked crestfallen at the end hearing all the boos. In so many respects this is a popularity contest. If they want it to be all about the singing, then they need to change the rules. Until then, it is what it is.

I felt terrible for him too. I thought the judges were ridiculous with their over-reaction. I was never a Pia fan ~ I thought she was so boring, even though she has a nice voice, & as some others have said, I got the conceited vibe off her too. Stefano is not very good, IMO, but he did not deserve to be made to feel like dirt with the way the judges reacted. Totally unprofessional on their part. Plus they are the ones that put him in it as a wildcard to begin with! Their reactions just really pissed me off. Totally uncalled for.

I felt bad for Stefano too. Jacob should've been the one to go.

I love James. That's pretty much all I have to say about tonight. Other than him, I was bored out of my skull.

I thought they were all pretty good, but James! Wow!

Completely superficial reason for disliking someone, but I can't watch Scotty. He looks like he could be one of the Duggar's kids. Ew.

Wish Paul would find a cabbage patch.
Wish Haley would find a stripper pole.
Wish Jacob would renew his Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club membership & join Lucy in the sky.
Wish Alfred E. Neuman would claim his long lost son Scott.
Wish Stefano would impregnate Lauren, she could join Teen Mom 3.
Wish James would wake up and remember he's on AI not a rock concert.

Wonder if anyone was scared Zach (the beefy metal guitarist) would pummel them if they said anything negative to James?

Loved James. As soon as I heard what he was going to sing, I knew he'd be great. Was surprised that they discouraged him from choosing that song.

Will i am is so freakin' adorable. They should make him permanent.

Surprised that Corpse Anthony didn't roll his eyes or make a frowny face when Jennifer was being applauded for the magazine cover. I've gotten to where I kinda like her.

I agree about watching Scotty. I love his voice & love to listen to him but I always find something else to look at. He needs some coaching.

Scotty looks like a stroke victim when he sings. He bored me last night.

James was awesome. I really liked Casey's jazz things too. I found myself moving to it.

Lauren was ok. And for once Jacob didn't whine out a song too much.

Finally. I felt that I was the only person in the world who hates that kid. I've DVR'd a few episodes (not last night's, don't know who was good and who wasn't) and he is such a hot mess when he sings, with that smug Smirky McSmirkason face of his. I love that Joel McHale constantly references it on The Soup. I get that his voice is probably really good for country and it is very unique (no doubt he'll get a record contract) but he's not someone I personally enjoy listening to - add in actually watching the guy, and I'd rather hang myself. But yet he seems like the frontrunner because he's an "aw shucks" country guy. Ugh.

I think that's what people like about him. He does what he wants and does it pretty darn well..
