I don't watch this show. My husband is a HUGE fan. Happened to watch it tonight, and just from what Mr. Tulip had told me before, I was completely heartbroken. If it weren't for the grossness and yucky noises, I'd totally watch this show. Very compelling storytelling.

Yeah, that was horrible, and I don't think it will go down well at all with the fan base. However, what I actually want to talk about is a really egregious ethical lapse by the survivors - if one of your people is in the clutch of the zombies, don't just watch them get torn apart, shoot them in the head and put them out of their misery. Or, if you are the person in question, and you have a loaded gun, shoot yourself in the head. The woman with the injured ankle pointlessly shot like 4-5 zombies and didn't save a round for herself, even though she had earlier stated that she should be left behind because she was slowing everyone down. And then, the guy on the other side of the iron gate - what was that all about? One slice or poke from Michonne's kitana, or that other guy's buck knife could have spared that other guy of what he went through. Sheesh.

I think it was to be expected. Glenn's death is a major point in the books, I didn'tthink he would surrvive the run of the show.

I'm bummed because I love Glenn, but I figured it would come eventually. Very sad episode.

I watched The Talking Dead right after. And when the memoriam showed all the people who died in that episode, Nicholas' name was shown, but not Glenn's.

He has to be underneath Nicholas.

    I don't believe Glenn's dead.

I watched the part where they are supposedly eating his guts 3 times and the camera stayed on his face,so who knows what and who the walkers were eating.

He was under Nicholas and Nicholas's blood was all over him.Wouldn't that confuse the walkers? I remember an episode where Carol smeared herself with blood and walked with a group of walkers and none of them touched her. It's a stretch but come on Glen has gotten out of worse situations.

Mo I agree with you. I was shocked Michonne didnt put that guy out of his misery. That Glen scene was not expected. Me and my walking dead BFF were holding each other falling off the couch. Then a few minutes later you think Rick gets killed and we almost had heart attacks. WD can't do this to us.

Totally agree they should have shot that poor guy in the head or at least knifed him. I gotta admit I might bet the only person watching the show that didn't care that Glen bit the dust (if he even did). Not my favorite character. It was a great episode though. I might also be the only person in camp Fuck Morgan. I swear his inability to finish has been the death and almost death of too many people. He's almost as useless as Father Gabriel.

My brother mentioned the Glenn's-not-dead rumor this morning. The problem I had with it is that he seemed to be in agony (not terror) as you saw the entrails being ripped out, etc. The other issue is that even if he is alive, he is still in a blind alley, and in a more compromised position for escaping even than the dumpster they were standing on. Plus, Michonne and the other survivors have moved on and they were the only ones in a position to rescue him.

I have to admit, for a second there near the end, I thought they might be about to kill off Rick, too. He is sitting in a Winnebago surrounded in all directions by walkers. Daryl seems to be the only person in a position to save him.

I didn't really get the sense of him being in agony just scared but who knows. I wonder if they will even address it this week.

I'm starting to waver based on this Buzzfeed story - that being said, from looking at the comments, there are a ton of people who apparently will feel like TWD pulled something shady if he survives:

I'm okay if he is dead and okay if he's not. People won't be satisfied either way really I guess. I worries me more he died this way instead of the way he died in the comics because I've been hearing chatter that Daryl might get Glen's comic death.

Tyrese had some really improbable escapes, too. At least a couple where he single handedly beat to (the final) death like 10-20 walkers that were swarming him.

There is another scenario that is getting on my nerves - it's when everyone has cleared out a bunch of walkers, but somehow a guy (that big guy with the shotgun) gets caught unawares and is bitten. Walkers aren't that sneaky (slow and constantly growling) and most people would have some pretty heightened awareness of their situation to not get pounced on from behind a tree. I realize it's just a plot device, but it's getting old.

Also, I like the new African American character with the glasses. Super serious with the "how did I get in this situation" expression on his face. I would be very surprised if he doesn't make it through the end of this half season.
