Speaking of Tobias - why did they abandon the food cart after the encounter with the principal? If you are going to kill your zombie principal at least reward yourself by bring the food cart to your car...

I agree. I was bored with it. Then i gave second one a chance...still boring so i'm losing it already.

What I really like is how the fact the WE know what THEY don't really ups the tension.
There are so many times you want to scream "HEAD shot! You have to kill them with a HEAD shot, stupid!", when the reality is how would they know that when they have no idea what they're up against? The scene where they were stuck in the back up at the highway exit sent chills down my spine because while they assumed it was a harmless accident or police chase, they were completely unaware of how close they were to real horror

The difference between the shows is like an apocalypse vs. a post apocalypse. Seeing the world shut down in real time could be pretty wrenching because the timeline that the Walking Dead starts with is basically showing about only 1% of humanity surviving this. And probably as many people would die of starvation, disease, and civil strife as they would from the zombies themselves.

What I am kind of wondering is what timeline the producers have for this show to get from our every day world to the "Rick" world. By the way, when Rick went into a coma originally, how long was he in a coma for, and had the zombie apocalypse already started?

I had read this article a week or so ago that tentatively lays out the timeline for the shows:
Fear the Walking Dead quietly confirmed what year the zombie outbreak started
People are quite good at playing detective, I never would have noticed any of those nuggets!

If it had started it hadn't gotten to where Rick was. Remember when he woke up he had no clue what had happened.

Watching this show has reminded me of how the original "Walking Dead" had to fight for a budget, even though it was a runaway success from the very beginning. That whole season with the farm was because of budget issues.

"Fear" seems to be swimming in money. There are all kinds of different sets, and big expensive riot scenes.

I love Cliff Curtis and Kim Dickens, but 'm still not warming up to Frank Dillane -- I keep thinking of Johnny Depp in "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory".

It was great to see Ruben Blades last night. VERY smart and talented guy.

I'm still not feeling it and I'm wondering more and more what the point was except to try and make money off a money maker.

I'm okay with it, but I thought this would be difficult to pull off because the story arc is in completely the opposite direction of the original.

The last episode closed well. I'm convinced there is a connection between Madison (Kim Dickens) and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in the script. Maddie has a deep, dark secret and it may lead back to Kentucky. My hunch, Madison and Rick are siblings.

Yeah, watched begrudgingly with my husband...until the torture porn started. I'm done. Nothing grabbed me about Fear at all.

I really liked the season finale. Now that they are on that Strand guy's estate I think it's going to have a story arc a lot more like the original Walking Dead. I'm pissed that they didn't take Dr. Exner with them - Sandrine Holt is the hotness.

And Frank Dillane's character is still annoying and worthless. Why that Strand guy picked him as his right hand man is one of the top WTF's about this series.
