    Default A Christmas Story

It's back for the holiday season. It's on TNT tonight at 8 and 10 pm.

I'm sure TNT will re run it from now until Christmas if you miss it.

As a native Clevelander, I have to say it is a must see at least 3 times each holiday season. It's a Wonderful Life is a 1 timer, but better for New Years. And the only other must is a Year Without Santa (which can be watched an infinite number of times).

TNT has run 24 hours of A Christmas Story for the last 10 year or so on Christmas day and I always end up watching it at least a few times.

I used to love watching the 1951 Alistair Sim version of A Christmas Carol every year, but they haven't shown it in the last few years for some reason. Hard to get the rights to it or some such, I imagine. I also try and watch It's A Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve. I usually catch White Christmas at least once - Bing Crosby may have been a class A asshole in his personal life, but damn he had a voice.

Am I the only one who thinks this movie is just plain dumb? It isn't even funny. I'd rather watch commercials.

I was gonna say: with this movie, there doesn't seem to be a middle of the fence. People either love it or hate it. My son loves it (plus he looks like ralphie without glasses) and we own it... he watches it all year long. And yes, he found it on the tv guide channel last night & watched it on regular tv too.

Oh yeah.. never saw that one.

Just the one with scrooge.. which is still brilliant today. The guy who played scrooge did a seriously bang up job with the role.

Also, making fun of that movie is "Scooged" with Bill Murray. Brilliant for the holidays.. dark humor

Scrooged is great. I love that damned ghost that keeps beating the shit out of him.

This movie is so silly and such a time waster. That means I love it. Nothing better when wrapping gifts in front of the fire.

I love a Christmas Story. I end up watching it a few times during that 24 hour marathon.

And Scrooged is another classic. One of Bill Murray's best movies.
