American Idol - Season 5
Unfuckingbelievable.
A 17-yr old boy comes in the room and starts crooning a Frank Sinatra song ..... and Paula makes love to him with her eyes.
A gal with her toothless Mama by her side, a spray-on-tan, more makeup than Tammy Faye Bakker ........ screeches like a cat.
A guy dressed up like Pippi Longstocking whose major complaint was that his legs were hairy ... WTF?
And the blonde bitch that had to be bleeped DURING HER SONG! Did you see her fingernails? Black nail polish .... well, what there was of it ... chipped nail polish on bitten-to-the-cuticle-nails. Come on gals ... and guys .... give your nails a fresh coat of polish before you make a complete ass of yourself on TV!!
How in the HELL can these people truly believe they can sing? How?

Re: American Idol - Season 5
My question is have some of them ever watched the show before? Two that we noticed during the show:
-Don't do a gimmick, most gimmicks do NOT get picked
-Don't sing a song not in English, you won't get picked.

Yea ... the guy who came in dressed like the statue of liberty .... and didn't even put his arm down when he started to sing .... he got two words out before he was ousted.
.... and held his arm up while going out the door.

I laughed so hard I actually cried when she got bleeped singing something like 'waiting for your big brown ass to walk through the door'.

Re: American Idol - Season 5
I watched last night too and you have to wonder---some of these people can't possibly think they can really sing, right? I swear some of them do it just for their 3 minutes on t.v. (i.e the dressed up Dorothy guy.)

Re: American Idol - Season 5
Another thing: there was a girl on there that got to Hollywood that got like 3 or 4 minutes of screen time, but they never showed her sing. Yes the bad auditions are funny, but the audience doesn't eventually vote on the bad singers. It's unfair that we get to hear only some of the good ones sing and to hell with the rest of them. Besides, stop giving the bad ones as much airtime and they'd get more people seriously auditioning since the stupidity won't be rewarded.

Re: American Idol - Season 5
Fonz, that's exactly why they do it. There are thousands that audition, and only a small percentage make it to the judges, most audition before regular production assistants or something, and they are the ones that decide if the candidate should go in front of Simon Paula & Randy. There's the ones that are really good and have a chance to go to Hollywood, and then the ones that are on there for entertainment and heckling purposes only. The majority of the ones who majorly sucked were put on tv so we could laugh and make fun, and most of them know that. You get the occasional delusional ones that must be escorted out by security, but most just wanted their time on national primetime network tv.

Re: American Idol - Season 5
I loved the twins towards the end of last night's episode, the really young ones (16, I think). Although my friends and I decided that they lose points for having popped collars. The one in the black shirt with the better voice (in our opinion) unfortunately lost double points for his double popped collar.

I don't even watch later in the season when the "good" singers are competing w/ eachother, i really only watch now when all the idiots are auditioning, its awesome!

Re: American Idol - Season 5
The girl who was waiting outside the door talking about how they asked her to be different yet they wouldnt pick her. Suprisingly, the girl who came out the door won. She didnt even rubb it in her face about her singing. What a bitch she was, they probably didnt pick her anyway.
The tanned girl had me rolling on the floor! Every time they asked her a question, she ignored them said her songs and crap. When her mother came in, I knew the apple didnt fall far from the tree.

It looked to me that the orange/tanned gal was desperately trying to "be" Paris-ite Hilton. HILARIOUS!

She diffenately had the air-head persona down pack. She was missing a couple of screws and her teeth as well.

Re: American Idol - Season 5
It comes on again tonight?
Cause I just happened to be channel surfing and thought they were showing reruns. I only watch the parts were they are interveiwing the contestants before the actual judging, then it gets boring.
