Wow, I just watched a trailer for this movie and it looks awesome! I could really identify with what the characters are feeling.

I just finished the book, by Richard Yates. It was good... a little dark for my taste, but interesting.

Hmmm...I had heard these two were doing another movie together, but that trailer really didn't pull me in. I'm not familiar with the book.

Is there some twist beyond marriage troubles or something?

^^ Illegal abortion...not as a twist, but it's important to the story

Richard Yates is sort of parodied in an old Seinfeld episode. The character of Elaine's dad was based on him. Larry David used to date Yates' daughter, and the dad hated LD.

Woohoo! I found one site that lists RR as being in wide release on Jan 23, so I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks, but it's better than not seeing it at all until it comes out on DVD.

I think the premise sounds depressing but interesting, so I can't wait to see it. But then, Virgin Suicides is one of my favorite movies, so I guess I like dark.

I saw a screener of it.It moves a bit slow, but I thought the performances were great.
And I liked Kate Winslet's wardrobe in it.

    gee I don't know.

I liked the trailer but that background song was driving me nuts. Looks like a chick flick the hubby will never go for it.

Just got back from seeing this movie. It is awesome. It's depressing for sure, but thought provoking. Kate and Leo were both wonderful of course, but the surprise performance was the guy who played the mental patient. He was incredible.

I haven't seen it yet, but it looked really good. I really like that Kate and Leo are together again in this movie, I think they're great together. And they both looked great.
