Hedwig and the Angry Inch
So, I'm watching this movie now (under my sister's insistence), and I find myself loving it. James Cameron Mitchell makes a really oddly beautiful woman. I'd almost go as far to say he's a more attractive woman than man.
I remember the boy playing the other rock star (Tommy Gnosis, actor's name is Michael Pitt) as being Henry from Dawson's Creek. Does anyone know if he did his own singing for this? It is surprisingly good during his big solo.

Re: Hedwig and the Angry Inch
this movie is so brilliant; from the plot/storyline, to the acting, to the incredibly well-written and catchy songs!

Re: Hedwig and the Angry Inch
She's been telling me for the last few years how much I HAVE to see this movie, and then saw it was on TV a few days ago so she recorded it. Ever since she recorded it, she's asked me every couple hours "So, have you watched it yet?!". It was so good, I might watch it again later when I have a clear head and concentrate more. But I liked it a lot even in my sick haze

Oh, I just love this movie, but you gotta see the dvd with extras! It explains a lot of things about the history!
oh, and the last song? When Tommy sings to him?

I'm pretty sure Michael Pitt did his own singing. He also has a song in the Bertolucci film "The Dreamers," in which he also starred.

Re: Hedwig and the Angry Inch
If I'm not mistaken the songs of Tommy Gnosis (Michael Pitt) were sung by the man who wrote them, Stephen Trask. Stephen played a member of Hedwig's band, Skszp, a guy with blue hair if I remember right. This is all according to the DVD extras and IMDB. "Hedwig" is a favored film in our house, my daughter and I both just love, love, love it!
