    Default Ice Road Truckers

Ice Road Truckers on the History Channel. Does anyone watch this? i got hooked on it last season, its freakin amazing. These guys take loads to the diamond mines over roads that are really lakes, or oceans, iced over during the winter. it occurs at the top of the world. This season they are actually driving over the arctic ocean.

i'm a geek, so i'm probably the only one watching it, but its certainly different.

I watched it when they had the marathon either last weekend or the weekend before. It was pretty interesting ... but I'll take "Deadliest Catch" over it any day!!

My husband has been watching the marathon they have going today. I always tell him, "you know I could never let you do that, right??" Same with those loggers in that other show, Ax Men. I could never be the wife of one of those guys. Whenever they walk out the door you never know if they're ever going to come back. I'd be a constant wreck.

I got addicted last season, and couldn't wait for this season to start. I love it! We used to own a small trucking company and one of the guys who used to drive for us has been trying to get hired to drive the ice road in Yellowknife. Right now he's hired on to transport the loads to Yellowknife, but he says there is an endless line of drivers waiting to be hired for the ice roads.

'Ice Road Truckers' star Darrell Warddies in Plane Crash at 52
8/29/2016 6:10 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

"Ice Road Truckers" star Darrell Ward died in a plane crash Sunday.
Darrell had just left a truck show in Dallas where he met fans and friends, and was heading back to Missoula, MT to begin filming a pilot for his new documentary -- ironically and sadly about the recovery of plane wrecks.
Darrell was flying with a co-pilot when their Cessna single engine plane crashed on approach near the Rock Creek exit of Interstate 90.
The family said, "While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief. His manager and best friend M. Bob Stanton and long time friend Chuck Campbell are expected to make a lengthier statement shortly."
    He was 52 years old.
