It's Johnny 5 with a little bit of ET mixed in. Can't they do something original?
Signed, the fun hater.

I saw it tonight and it was really, really excellent. It's a great social commentary and there are some great references to older movies (if you hate Hello Dolly though you are going to be ANNOYED by the end of the movie).
Also, stick through and watch the credits, they did a timeline of art history and a bit of computer animation throughout the credits. There isn't any extra scene at the end, but it's something fun.

i saw it tonight & loved it, too. it brought many heavy themes to the table & made the viewer think...i think it is probably my favorite pixar movie so far.

I loved it...and I normally hate the amount of romance in disney films but Walle and Eve were SOOOOOOOO cute.

I loved this movie. There were so many cute scenes that made me laugh. I have to agree with Ang, I think this is one of my favorite Pixar movies.

It was great! We took our five year old son to see it and he barely said a word the whole time - he was just glued to the screen.

So so so so so so so so so so SO good!
It was just amazing...so many opportunities for it to become cheesy but it just wasn't! Just so wonderfully done! I think every director inspires to tell a story as well as this!

I'm the only person in America who thought this movie was crap then.
From an adult standpoint, the messages were a bit random and forced. WallE never became that likeable and it was just depressing.
My 3 year old almost never wants to watch TV but she's managed to sit through a few movies and enjoy them (Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Alvin). This wasn't the movie for her though. The fact that there was no talking half way through the movie made it really hard for her to sit still.

I didn't like this movie either. I got so tired of hearing "wall eeeeee". Pixar definately has done better this before.

I saw this day before yesterday with some friends of mine, and we all really loved it!
Am I the only one who feels bad that Wall-E was alone for so long, with only a cockroach for company?
Great movie, though. I was really impressed!
