Talking Airplane!

Since I've seen so much praise for this movie in many places on this forum, I decided to honor it with it's own seperate thread.

I've seen this movie many times, it's definetly one of my favorites. The first time I saw it, I was literally ROTFLMAO. I loved the jive guys, and the part where the crew were playing the instruments. Also, the part where Stryker tells his girlfriend all the super secret information, and she says "When will you be back?" and he replies with "I can't tell you that, that's classified". LOL.

I've seen bits and pieces of Airplane II... It was ok, from what I've seen. I need to try and catch it on TV again.

Try swinging by Blockbuster, they usually have both up for rent. Or if you have HBO, it still comes on fairly regularly on there. At least it did back when I had it.

I saw it with a friend during its original run in a theater that had intermission halfway through the movie. It is the one and only movie I've ever been to where the audience was still doubled over in laughter during intermission and after it finished, pointing at each other repeating lines or looks and then doubling over in laughter again. I'll never forget it!

One of the best!! It NEVER gets old. EVER. Far too many lines and quotes.

And the actors....brilliant. Peter Graves come on. And Lloyd Bridges. Robert Stack!

I agree, this movie deserves it own thread.

I like the part with Robert Stack, where he's fixing himself up in the mirror, and he steps through it and leaves the house. XD

LOL, that's another one of my favorite parts.

Antoher favorite Robert Stack scene that totally came out of left field:
"Get that finger out of your ear! You don't know where that finger's been!"

"Excuse me, I speak jive"

A hospital? What is it?
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now

Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?

Surely you can't be serious
I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.

Joey, have you ever been to a Turkish prison?

Yeah I pretty much have the movie memorized

Ok men, let's take some pictues (starts taking down photos from the wall).

'Its big and round with red and white... like a giant Tylenol'

'There's a sale at Penny's!!!'

'What do you make of this?'
'Well, I can make a broach, or a....'

'Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop drinking.'

'Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.'

'I say, let 'em crash.'

The nurse singing 'Respect'. Damn that was funny. And everyone standing in line to slap, punch, shoot, smack the woman who was freaking out. And who can forget the smile on auto pilot after he gets blown. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
