Jesus, were they? Guess I shouldn't have stopped reading after 3 pages. I knocked it off as typical pontificating fluff (given the era).

Cuba provides health care to all its people unlike the US. Cuba may not have access to certain medicines and such but that is the result of the US embargo on Cuba. Cuba's health statistics are not far off the US particularly when you consider the United States spends much more per person but does not get a drastically better result.

I find it highly ironic that Castro himself has doctors and surgeons flown in from other countries.

^The rich and powerful always get special treatment because they can afford it. Same thing goes on in the US. Haven't you noticed?

but you also have a lot of people flying to cuba to get specialised treatment for certain things. health care in cuba is much better than most people imagine.

I'm not sure he was saing Cuba has better healthcare, just htat health care is available to all, not dependent on insurance. As someone who has lived out of the US quite a bit I can tell you that health care in teh states sucks, no matter how much you're paying. Give me Scandinavia any day of the week.

I really love this movie and Mandy Moore was sooo hilarious. I could quote her all day but that was my favorite line.

Also love Dogma!

I really liked Saved....my fav line was:

-There's only one reason Christian girls go down to Planned Parenthood.

-She's planting a pipe bomb?

-Okay, two reasons.

I like it when Pastor Skip runs onto the stage at the pep rally, does a front flip, and screams "GIVE IT UP! THE LORD JESUS IS IN THE HOUSE! LET'S GET OUR CHRIST ON!!!!!"

After seeing that one of the top preachers in the USA has a 747 SP for its "goodwill" trips.... that movie really strikes a chord...
