there are so many, but one that comes to mind is from Steel Magnolias when the women are yakking after the funeral.

Here... take a whack at Ouiser! that whole scene just brings me to tears, especially when Sally Field says I find it amusing. Men are supposed to be made out of steel or something. I just sat there. I just held Shelby's hand. There was no noise, no tremble, just peace. Oh god. I realize as a woman how lucky I am. I was there when that wonderful creature drifted into my life and I was there when she drifted out. It was the most precious moment of my life.

^^Steel Magnolia's came to my mind too.

All of Raising Arizona--cracks me up every time, and I've seen it a hundred times. I never tire of it.

The mental ward scene from the first movie:

    And the slinky scene:

So many awesome moments from these movies, but those have to be the best.

    My all time favorites:

The Abyss (it's the famous "drowning scene," unfortunately the following is only the first part. The subsequent scenes of Ed Harris frantically trying to resuscitate Elizabeth's character is one of the most powerful and emotional things I've seen)

    Raiders of the Lost Ark:

    The Gladiator:

The scene in Casablanca where Victor walks down the stairs and tells the band to play La Marseillaise to drown out the Nazi's song

It's so moving, and especially as the movie was made during in 1943, when no one knew how the war would turn out

    Some of my favorite scenes:

What's Love Got To Do With It: The limo scene where Tina kicks Ike's ass.

Aliens: Where Sigourney Weaver fights the Alien Queen and screams 'Get away from her you bitch!'

Pulp Fiction: The scene where Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta kill the three kids that owe Ving Rhames' character money, and Sam starts quoting the Bible. And any scene where he said 'this is some repugnant shit.'

Empire Strikes Back: Fight between Luke and Darth Vader where Vader reveals he's Luke's father.

The Color Purple: The final scene where Celie and Nettie are reunited and Celie meets her kids. Powerful scene.

The Long Kiss Goodnight: Where Geena Davis' character kills the other spy and screams 'Die screaming motherfucker.' And the scene where she and Samuel L. Jackson are trying to get out of Atlantic City, and she tells him 'I once got myself out of Beirut, I think I can get myself out of N.J.' Sam replies. 'Don't be so sure. Many have tried and failed. Mainly the entire population.'

I forgot that scene in Full Metal Jacket. It's been years since I've seen that movie. It's offensive, but still a good scene. Makes you glad that the Sarge got what was coming to him later in the movie.

And Clerks I can watch forever. "Try not to suck any dick on your way to the parking lot!" But my favorite scenes are the ones with Randall in them.

I love how the guy leaning against the building starts following her after Dante yells that, hysterical!

As for the FMJ drill sargeant scene, my fave line is "Are you queer, Private Snowball? BULLSHIT! I'll bet you can suck a golf ball through a garden hose!"
    priceless.

Hmmm...after reading this, it occurs to me that I must find oral sex highly amusing.
